Nearly 40 modelers have signified their intention ol attending from Eugene, Klam ath Falls, Roseburg, Cave Junction, Dunsmuir, Redding and other cities. A series of more than 100 slides will be presented de scribing ideas and techniques for scratch building struc tures, featuring the use of homemade castings to achieve unusual results. This clinic will deal primarily with struc tures of the steam era, and will cover such things as pro cedure for laying out struc tures, coloring, weathering and aging. Suggestions to en able modelers to design and freelance their own buildings also will be sovered. The clinic will be backed up by models built using the techniques described, plus a display of castings with an explanation of .their fabrica tion and use in model rail roading. Model railroaders are reminded to take along their models for display.
