The bridegroom-elect was graduated from Medford High school and is a student at Southern Oregon college, majoring in electronics engi neering. Couple Back From Hawaii Montague Mr. and Mrs. George Fiock, who exchanged marriage vows 50 years ago in Yreka, April 25, observed their golden wedding anni versary date while touring the Hawaiian Islands, having recently returned from then trip. The Fiocks were feted on three different occasions dur ing their 12-aay tour through the 50th state, which they made in the company of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Fiock, Mrs. Hilda Coolcy and Mrs. Ruth Rider. The party joined other members of the California Farm Bureau Federation on the trip, which was arranged for iv i',e Cal-Iarm Travel service. The tour included stops at the Princess Kaiulani hotel, Kona Inn on the Island of Hawaii, visits to pineapple fields, farming operations of Farm bureau members, the Nuuancpali area, Diamond and Koko Head, and a flight to Kona, the coffee growing area, including a visit to the City of Refuge. Miss Ackerman To Be Installed Shady Cove - Miss Lola Ackerman will be installed as honored queen of Shady Cove bethel, International Order of Job's Daughters, in cere monies to be held at the Eagle Point Primary gymnasium June 1. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. Miss Ackerman and the other officers were elect ed recently at a meeting at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall. Betrothal Told In Grants Pass Grants Pass-Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chittock, Grants Pass, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Sue Chittock to Kenneth Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Bailey, Gold Hill. Miss Chittock was graduat ed from Grants Pass High school in 1960 and is em ployed at Security Insurance Agency in Medford. The bridegroom -elect was graduated from Crater High school in 1955 and served three years in the U. S. Army. (Knacksiedt photo) Simmons Give Buffet Dinner A buffet dinner was recent ly given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Simmons, East Vilas road, honoring Mrs. Jack Marks, Los Angeles, Calif. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Baldwin and daughters Karon and Virgin ia: Mr. and Mrs. Don Mar shall and sons Sheldon, Ray Allen and Marvin; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons and daughter Cynthia; Mr. and Mrs. Hfiyward Lemley, Mrs. Maude Simmons, Mrs. Ruth Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. George Simmons, Sherman and Sharon, Othar Richcy, Miss Donna Johnson, Terry Simmons and Gary Lcmacks. Miss Bonnie Lynn Knapp became the bride of Harold Frederick Drysdale in 8 o'clock evening rites held May 12 in St. Mark's Episco pal church. The Rev. George R. V. Bolster performed the single ring ceremony in the presence of about 250 guests. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Knapp, 1006 Sunset avenue, and the bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Shirley Drysdale, 23 North Orange street, and Har old W. Drysdale, Vashti way. Mrs. Carol Ellis was maid of honor and Mrs. Clarence Allen, bridesmatron. James Lawrence served as best man. Seating the guests were John Michael Bauer, Dean Tibbutts and Larry Kemper. The bride, given in marri age by her father wore a floor length gown of silk or ganza designed with lace bo dice and billowing skirt with chapel train. The skirt was edged with lace in scalloped design. Her elbow length veil was held by a beaded crown and she carried a cas cade bouquet of white carna tions and pink rosebuds. Maid In Lavender The maid of honor was dressed in a lavender cotton brocade strectlcngth frock with bell skirt and she wore a matching circlet hat with short veil. Her bouquet was a nosegay of pink carnations. The bridesmatron wore a matching frock in pale pink and her colonial bouquet was of lavender carnations. The bride's mother wore a navy blue silk suit with white accessories and the bride groom's mother was dressed in a suit of gold and yellow tones with mink trimming. Her accessories were gold. Both wore white purple throated orchids. Altar decorations were of white stock and pink and white carnations. White satin bows marked the pew ends. Mrs. John Dryst'.alc sang the wedding songs and Mrs. Ernest Conrad was organist. The. reception given in the Parish hall was directed by members of St. Elizabeth's guild. The bride's table was decorated with an arrange ment of pink carnations with lavender ribbons and the re freshment table was centered with pink carnations and pink and lavender candles in silver candlesticks, a gift to the bride from the bridegroom. The couple left for their wedding trip to the Oregon coast. The bride's traveling attire was an oatmeal linen suit which she had made, with brown and orange accessories. She wore a white carnation corsage. The couple is living at 210 Cottage street. The bride attended Gold Hill grade school and Med ford High school and the bridegroom attended Medford schools. She has been employ ed as a clerk-cashier for Pay less Drug store and the bride groom is an assistant manager for Standard Oil of Cali fornia. Californian Visits Daugther, Son-in-Law Shady Cove-Mrs. Cora Mc Guire, Stockton, Calif., spent several days visiting with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Robichaud, Shady Cove. Junior Guild Entertained by Staff In keeDins with National Hospital week and to show appreciation for services ren dered to Sacred Heart hos pital, the Sisters at Sacred Heart hospital entertained the Junior Providence Girls at a luncheon May 17, at the hos pital. The nine members who attended are the Misses Ann ette Burich, Barbara Lewis, Mary Kav Hockstatter and Faye Lewis from St. Mary's mgn scnoot and the Misses Sharon M 9 I ! I h Pnmnln Green, Lawncdia Prewltt, Sue Root, Janet Paulson and Mary Ross from Medford High school. Miss Ross was intrndurprt as a new member. Mrs. Mario Campagna, and Sister Joseph Albert have been advisors to Ihe the past year. Sister Teresa Louise took over Sister Jo seph's advisory to the girls upon Sister Joscnh A then leaving Medford. She will work with Mrs. Robert. C. Ross, next year's new advisor to the group. The Junior Providence Guild has had a busy and active vear. They have assisted in the development office and during the city-wide campaign for the new Sacred Heart building fund, the girls served coffee and doughnuts to the workers. The members have their own fund in progress to buy an article for the pediatrics ward in the new hospital. They decorated pine cones to be sold at Christmas time and made little St. Patrick hats for St. Patrick's day, to raise the money. Any girl of Junior High or High school age interested in joining the group is invited to call Sister Teresa Louise at Sacred Heart hospital, 773-6611.
