Jenkins, Mesa, Ariz. Mr. Wine- trout is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Graff Jr., 2158 West Hillside drive and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Wine- trout, Villa Rogue apartments, this city. Miss Jenkins Is an educa tion major at Arizona: State university, Tcmpe, Ariz., and Is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Her fiance is a business major in the same school. He was graduated from Medford High school and at tended Shasta Junior college before enrolling in the Ari zona school. The wedding has been set for August 24 in Mesa. Mr. Winctrout and his fi ancee are expected here at the end of the present school term for a visit with family and friends before returning to Arizona for summer school. Open House Set For Wool folks Brownsboro - Mr. and Mrs. Ira Woolfolk, Brownsboro, will celebrate their silver wedding anniversary on May 28, 19B3. The Woolwolks have three children, David, who Is associated with his father on the ranch, Alice, who Is study ing home economics at Ore gon State university, Flor ence, who attends high school at Eagle Point, and one grand child. Newlyweds Now Home Mr. and Mrs. Andrew S Weiant, 2201 Siskiyou boule vard, have arrived home from Mexico where they spent the winter months at Guadala jara. The couple left Medford in late December following their marriage at Eastwood Baptist church. Mrs. Weiant is the former Elna M. Trumbly of Medford and Mr. Weiant is formerly of Portland. The Rev. Clifford Young performed the ceremony and the bride was attended by her daughter, Miss Penelope Ann Trumbly. Erwin Trumbly Jr., the bride's son, was best man. Enroute south the couple visited friends in Palm Springs, Calif., and during their stay in Mexico they trav eled to Guaymas and Mazat- lan. On their return they stopped in Phoenix, Ariz., and Las Vegas and Reno, Nev. Miss Trumbly, a business college student in Portland, spent Mothers' day week end with the Weiants. Couple Wed In Nevada Phoenix - Miss Patricia E. Elkins, Phoenix, became the bride of Robert A. Clarke, Jacksonville, in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Walden Ward at the Park Wedding chapel, Reno, Nev. Saturday, May 11, at 12:30 in the afternoon. The bride wore a beige sheath dress with white accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Tycer, Ashland, attended the couple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Elkins, 4374 South Pacific highway, Phoenix. She grad uated from Campbell High school in California in 1957 and attended Zweegman's Medical Secretary school in San Francisco. She is em ployed as a medical secretary for Dr. Aubrey M. Hill, Ash land. Mr. Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Clarke, 900 South Third street, Jackson ville, was a 1957 graduate of Jacksonville High school and served In the United States Navy from 1957-1960. He is employed as parts manager for Howard-Cooper corpora tion. They are now living at 330 North Holly street, Medford, following a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe. Marriage Set Friday, May 31 Gold Hill - News of interest In southern Oregon is the ap proaching marriage of Miss Kaaren Elaine Hilly, Costa Mesa, Calif, to a former resi dent of the Rogue valley, Ma rine Cpl. Charles Lester Black, now on duty with the Marine air-wing at El Toro Marine base at Santa Ana, Calif. The wedding will be an event of Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Newport Har bor Lutheran church at New port Beach, Calif. The bride-elect is a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nelson, Costa Mesa, and Mr. Black is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Black, Gold Hill. The Blacks plan to attend the rites. Prior to enlisting in the Marine corps Mr. Black was graduated from Crater High school at Central Point in 1958 and attended Southern Oregon college at Ashland. He is a member of a well known Sams . Valley area family. Honored Prospect The Rev. Stan ley Welsh, vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal, Prospect, was honored by St. Martha's guild recently at a potluck dinner at the Com munity hall. Some 50 persons attended the birthday party. Sea- vey, who has earned the name of "Mr. Telephone" be cause he has logged more than 1,700,000 miles traveling the state of Oregon, will ad dress the May 28 dinner meet ing of the Siskiyou Knife and Fork club. When Charles Seavey, bet ter known in telpehone cir cles as Chuck, appears before members and guests at the 7:30 o'clock dinner program in the Mark Antony hotel, he will translate into lay lan guage some of the compli cated developments in elec tronics of the fast-moving space age as related to future scientific research. The speaker began working for the Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone company in Eugene in 1924 and in the 39 years has experienced every type of problem including winter storm repairs. His boy hood Interest in radio was continued through college in physics and mathematics Rites Planned In Colorado Of interest In the valley is news of the approaching marriage of Miss Melinda J. Wineland and Dale Wayne Peterson, which was an nounced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Wineland of Golden, Colo. Miss Wineland is a dental technician in Denver. Mr. Peterson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Peter son, 11396 Dennis road, Cen tral Point and now is a junior at Colorado School of Mines. Miss Wineland is a 1961 graduate of Auburn, Ind., High school and the bride groom was graduated the same year from Medford High school. The wedding Is planned for June 29 at Faith Lutheran church in Golden. Newlywed Pair Honor Guests At Reception Prospect-Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Gene Freed, whose marriage was an event of May 10 in Carson City, Nev., were honored at a reception May 11 in the Prospect Community hall. About 75 guests attended. The bride is the former Miss Lynda Louise Ells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rob ert K. Ells, and the bride groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Freed, all of Prospect. The wedding ceremony was read in the Sunset Wedding chapel in the Nevada city. The bride wore a streetlength weddjng gown of slipper satin with jacket and her flowers were white baby roses and pale blue carnations. The bride's parents attended the couple. Mrs. Ells wore a blue suit with a red rose corage. Both the bride and bride groom attended Prospect schools and the bridegroom is employed by the United States Forest service. They are living in Prospect. Carl Heart Catholic church. A number of out-of-town rela tives and friends were in Medford to attend the 11 o'clock morning rites. Guests numbered about 17S. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thrun, 121 Kenwood avenue, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Trygve Aos, Everett, Wash., who could not be here for the ceremony. The matron of honor was Mrs. Joseph Munneke, Carmi chael, Calif., the former Miss Simonne Petard of Jackson ville and Medford. Mrs. Ger ald D. Plueard, Portland, a cousin of the bride, was bridesmatron, and Miss Lo retta Mary Zeleznik, Central Point, was bridesmaid. Leonard Thrun, a brother of the bride, served as best man. August Petard, Donald Zeleznik and Paul Willing ham were ushers. Wears Lace Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a floor- length gown of Chantilly lace over net and taffeta with Sa brina neckline and fingertip sleeves. The skirt was de signed with a cascade effect at the back. A silk organza rose accented with pearls held her elbow length veil and she carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and stcphanotis with ivy; The matron of honor wore a pink embroidered crystaline gown with basque bodice and full softly pleated skirt. The bridesmatron and bridesmaid wore matching gowns of pink crystaline and all wore pink rose headdresses with float veils. They car ed bouquets of pink rosebuds and carna tions with stcphanotis. Benefit Tea Christian Women's fellow ship members and guests are invited to attend a silver tea Tuesday, May 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the hbme of Mrs. Ernest Gleason, 2684 Crater Lake highway. The event will benefit the United Christian Missionary society and on dis play will be china and glass ware from Mrs. Gleason's col lection. Bruno Pellegrini furnished the organ music and John Cooney, and Mrs. William Reed of Lodl, Calif., sang during the mass. Mrs. Reed Sings Mrs. Reed sang during the reception, accompanied by Miss Ingrid Bergstrom, pianist. Mrs. William Wilder, Rose burg, and Mrs. Kenneth Bris tlin, Phoenix, cousins of the bride, served the wedding cake. Mrs. Leo Webster and Mrs. Donald Bohlman poured coffee, and Mrs. Oscar Jeff erys and Mrs. Kenneth Owen poured punch. Attending the guest book was Miss Phyllis Steele, another cousin of the bride.
