FFA Officers Duly Installed Central Point-Crater FFA , chapter's officers for the new year were installed recently ' at the Round Table Cafe in Central Point. ' The 1963-64 officers were to buy the- 1962-63 officers . their dinner. After the dinner 'the installation ceremonies took place. Jim Caldwell was sworn in as next year's presi- dent; Ron Smith as vice presi ' dent, Ross Conger, as secre tary, Clint Gibson, as treat ' urer, Bob Bray as reporter and' Don- Kirkham, as senti ' nel. 4-H NEWS Central Point Trail Blasers . The ' Central Point Trail . Blazers 4-H club held their May meeting in the home of Pam Peterson, the president, who . called the meeting to order. The flag salute was led by Laura King and the 4-H pledge was led by Melinda Fluck. Janet Olufsen, secre ; tary, called roll and read the minutes, which were ap ' proved. . . We talked about play days .i. and went over parts in our i 4-H books. Emily Corey re t ported on the training of a horse. We had two visitors, Mrs. . Kellogg and her daughter, i Cindy Kellogg. Nan Burgoyne will give a demonstration at , the next meeting. Refreshments were served by Janet Olufsen and Tana Le ' Roy. The next meeting will be held at the home of Pam ; Peterson, i Sharon Sutton, Reporter ' Rogue Saddlt-Litts The recent meeting of the Rogue Saddle-lites 4-H Horse ; club was held at the home of ; Gary Christenson. The meet- ing was called to order by our ' president, Kathi Kula. We had committee reports on our prefair, which is June 1 2. ' The club discussed our , training session held May II in the Medford Fairgrounds. ; We are happy to have Marge Tucker come and help us with our riding and horses. : Marti Stuck, Reporter ' Antelope Cooking, Sewing A short mpetinff nf the An. ,:Wlope Cooking and Sewing 4-H club was held in the " home of Cheryl Hefley before going to Mon Desir for a ' luncheon of meat balls with i sour cream and mushroom . sauce, rice, corn and peas and dessert. Mrs. Julie Tummers .snowed the kitchen and talk- 1 ed about cooking with spices and herbs. At the meeting the girls , discussed summer camp and , overnight trips. We talked about the judging contest which will be held Saturday, . May 18, from 9 a.m. to noon . in the extension auditorium. Reporter Happy Homemakers A Mothers' tea was held i at a recent meeting of the Happy Homemakers 4-H club. .' Mrs. Hackett explained the - program of work and our club's goal. After this rel ishes, open face sandwiches ' and nut breads made by the . girls were served. There also was coffee and ' punch. When everyone had finished eating, a variety of - word games were played. Point Grange hall. The meet ing was called to order by ' the president,. Jary Hansen Roll call and minutes were " read by the secretary, Cheryl Swain. The Pancake breakfast held May 11 at the fair srounds was discussed. was decided the club would donate money to help in the repairs of the Community building in Eagle Point. . The club talked about en tering a float in the Eagle Point July 4 parade but noth ing was definitely decided on The entertainment was pro vided by Patrick Ford and Bernard Wilson who played electric guitars. The next meeting will be May 24. .
