They are Mrs. R. R. Kails- la, president; Mrs. B. E. Brown, vice-president; Mrs. John Miller, Sams Valley, sec retary; Mrs. Ida von Busklrk, treasurer. This will be the final meet ing of the school. It is a remarkable feat really, when you think that all Rome was inundated with pam phlets, and that they were swept and carried off in tin cans - swept with little home made brooms into dustpans, and dumped Into the contain ers. There are no big sweep cleaners In Rome. The election took two days, beginning on Sunday morn ing and ending Monday after noon. It is all over, but the shouting - the shouting of the Communists. At this moment they are parading, wearing red hats and carrying ban ners, saying "vittoria" (vic tory). The great change of voters' choice came as a surprise to the general public. Those who Prospect Seniors Plan 'Skip Day' Prospect - The Prospect High school senior class will observe its "skip day" start ing Friday. The 11 graduating seniors will drive to San Fran cisco. Mrs. Frank Boothby and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Aiken are going as chaperones. The group will be gone three or four days. Prospect high's baccalaure ate will take place May 26 and graduation May 29. Marketing Specialist On Staff Corvallls - Mrs. Velma Seat has been named food market ing specialist for Oregon State university extension service. She replaces Barbara McCan dless, who resigned to do graduate work. Mrs. Seat will work with Mrs. Zelma Reigle Neugart, food marketing specialist di recting an educational pro gram aimed at increasing the efficiency of marketing food at the producer, processing and consumer levels. For the past 3 to years Mrs. Seat has been Washington county extension agent. As part of her extension program she conducted programs for large audiences of homeinak ers and 4-H club members fea turing foods grown or pro cessed in the county. She held a chicken and egg school for two years at the request of the Washington County Egg Producers; holiday schools featuring locally grown foods, and food preservation and freezing schools. The new extension special ist was born and reared in Washington and was gradu ated from Washington State University In home econom ics. While in college she was Mrs. Velma Seat elected to Omicron Nu, home economics honorary, and Phi Kappa Phi, scholastic honor society. For several years before moving to Oregon, she was home economist for Pugct Sound Power and Light, the Carnation Company, and Frlgldaire Corporation In Se attle. Currently a member of both the Oregon and Ameri can Home Economics Associa tions, she served as chairman of two other professional or ganizations when she lived in Seattle. Miss Data Hochhalter, coun ty home extension agent, will present the program on wills and estates. She will also be installing officer. A panel consisting of Mrs. E. E. Reames, Mrs. Vincent Swinney, Mrs. Lester Wertz and Mrs. Ron Van Dolah will report on the recent 1B63 meeting of the Oregon Home Economics Extension council held in Corvallls. Extra trains carried them on leave from their jobs in- Switzerland, France and Germany. Election voting is mandatory In Italy, but the government makes it as easy as possible for them.
