The program is designed to give students an in sight into how the state government is conducted and to develop an interest in governmental opealions. During the present ses- sion of the Oregon state legislature. Representative and Mrs. John R. Dellen back, Medford, have in vited area high school stu dents to Salem to observe the state government in action. The students have been selected from area high schools by teachers and principals. They have beerf students interested in po litical science. The Dellenbacks have had them as their house guests, have introduced ' them to various state of ficials, and the students have served as honorary pages on the floor of the' House. - Pictured on this page are some of the. students who have visited in Salem, and some of the state of- . ficials to whom they have been introduced.. .
