One of the programs, all of which arc financed with funds from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, is In Colombia. The other two are in Cosla Rica. The three research groups, all under directors who have had previous research ex perience in Central and South America, expect to spend the entire summer on their field projects, according to John F. Gange, director of the Insti tute of International Studies and Overseas administration. All graduate students partici pating in the programs arc candidates for advanced de grees at the university. A new rate for cattle has been set at SI. 45 per animal per month, compared to 51.50 per month in 1961 and 1962. The rate for sheep, however, will remain at 32 cents per head per month, the same rate as in the two previous years. Users of national forest ranges arc required to submit payment for grazing fees 15 days in advance of their scheduled date of turnout. In view of this and, in order to allow ample time for pay ment, billings have now been processed and mailed to the 1963 permittees. Smith said. Vehicles Involved in Highway 238 Accident Vehicles operated by John E. Adams: 69, of Sterling route, box 19A, Jacksonville, and George Richard Trites, 54, of 495 Ray lane, Ashland, were involved in an accident on Jacksonville hill on High way 238 earlier this week. Police said Adams was taken to Sacred Heart hospi tal with leg and hand in juries.
