Saturday when an overheated oil stove was reported at the home of L. H. Berry, 260 North Laurel st. No damage was reported, how ever. Wall Damaged - A flue fire that extended to a portion of the wall caused moderate damage at the home of Roy Edwards, 109 B St., Ashland, at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Ash land firemen controlled the fire. Easter Egg Hunt - The Tal ent Lions are sponsoring their annual Easter egg hunt this morning at 8 o'clock on the Talent Elementary school grounds. All Talent area chil dren under 12 are invited to participate. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups. Convalescing - Mrs. Ernest (Daisy) Cloud, of Prospect, who underwent major surgery at a valley hospital recently, is now convalescing at the Hawthorne Convalescent home in Medford. She will be there for some time and may receive visitors. Attends Meeting - Edmund E. Hass, vice president and Medford manager of the Pa cific Northwest company, in vestment securities, returned Friday night from a meeting of 15 branch office managers in Seattle. Daughter Born - A daugh ter, Karen Kiana. weighing 7 pounds, 15 ounces, was born to Mr. and Mrs John A. Cle ver March 29. The mother is the former Evelyn Frederick, Central Point. The Clevers recently moved back to Ore gon. Grandparents arc Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Frederick, Ta ble Rock rd., Central Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cle ver, Jonesboro, Ark. In Training - Mrs. Muriel Carter, 313 Maple St., Med ford, is being sent to Portland to train for cafeteria work in the New Holland House, one of Newberry's largest cafe terias. She has worked for the J. J. Newberry company for several years. In Hospital - Convalescing at Sacred Heart hospital fol lowing surgery is Walter E. Jordan, North Bend. A medi cal patient there is Robert W. I services were held Tuesday at the Henlcy-Hornbrook cem etery for John Albert Duncan. 72. who died April 5 at his home in Rio Linda, Calif. He was a long-time resident of Siskiyou county, and of Hornbrook, where he was sec tion foreman with the South ern Pacific railroad. His wife. Hazel Duncan, preceded him in deatli Dec. 31. 1962. He also was preced ed in death by a daughter, Patricia. Mr. Duncan is survived by his sons. John A. Duncan Jr., Orangevale, Calif.: Maj. Ed ward F Duncan, Lima Peru; William B. Duncan, Yreka; Lyle L. Duncan, Rio Linda; and three daughters. Mrs. Bcthe Obland, Riverside. Cal if.: Mrs. Laura H. Reames. Rio Linda, and Mrs. Connie Gauthier, Rio Linda. from Missouri. his wife he is sur vived by two sons. Stafford of Ashland, and Frederick of Shady Cove; and three grand children. Mr. Kiel was a cook at the Palace cafe in Ashland for a number of years. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. ut Litwillcr's Mountain View chapel, with the Rev. Ken neth llcriford officiating. Cre mation will follow. Friends may in lieu of flowers, make contributions to the Ashland General Hospital Memorial fund in care of the Palace cafe. THEODORE C. CLAWSON Hornbrook - Funeral serv ices for Theodore C. Clawson, 60, of Klamath Falls, who died Tuesday in Salem, were held Saturday in the Horn brook Methodist church. In terment was in the family plot in the Henley-Hornbrook cemetery. He was born in Hornbrook Dec. 8, 1903. He had made his home in Klamath Falls since 1943. He was employed by the Southern Pacific railroad. Survivors include his wid ow. Edna Clawson: a son, The odore Lane Clawson, and a daughter, Mrs Edna Biglcy. all of Klamath Falls, and two grandchildren. BLANCHE A. BEVERIDGE Mrs. Blanche A. Bcvcridgc, I of Saint John. Three Injured In Two-Car Collision Three persons were slightly injured in a two car collision Saturday at Hillcrest rd. and Valley View dr., Medford city police reported. Injured were a driver, James Edward Wheeler, Grants Pass, Martha Phillips, 70, Barker, N. Y., and Marian Alice Wheeler, 46, Grants Pass, both passengers in the Wheeler car; and Douglas Armstrong McAdams, 4, passenger in a car driven by Charles Armstrong McAdams 2560 Capitol ave. All received treatment by private physl cian. Wheeler was cited for fail ing to stop at sign.
