land firemen were summoned
at 7:02 a m. Saturday when
an overheated oil stove was
reported at the home of L. H.
Berry, 260 North Laurel st.
No damage was reported, how
ever. Wall Damaged - A flue fire
that extended to a portion of
the wall caused moderate
damage at the home of Roy
Edwards, 109 B St., Ashland,
at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Ash
land firemen controlled the
fire.
Easter Egg Hunt - The Tal
ent Lions are sponsoring their
annual Easter egg hunt this
morning at 8 o'clock on the
Talent Elementary school
grounds. All Talent area chil
dren under 12 are invited to
participate. Prizes will be
awarded in three age groups.
Convalescing - Mrs. Ernest
(Daisy) Cloud, of Prospect,
who underwent major surgery
at a valley hospital recently,
is now convalescing at the
Hawthorne Convalescent
home in Medford. She will be
there for some time and may
receive visitors.

Hornbrook - Funeral serv
ices for Theodore C. Clawson,
60, of Klamath Falls, who
died Tuesday in Salem, were
held Saturday in the Horn
brook Methodist church. In
terment was in the family
plot in the Henley-Hornbrook
cemetery.
He was born in Hornbrook
Dec. 8, 1903. He had made
his home in Klamath Falls
since 1943.
He was employed by the
Southern Pacific railroad.
Survivors include his wid
ow. Edna Clawson: a son, The
odore Lane Clawson, and a
daughter, Mrs Edna Biglcy.
