THURSDAY. 4-H NEWS Sawing Gsms The meeting of the Scwins Gema 4-H club wai held on March 27, at the home of our leader, Mrs. Ray Chavii. Diane White discussed the uses of different kinds of scissors. We found this to be very interesting. At our next meeting, which will be held on April 17, we are going to discuss different color combinations. Each girl is to bring several scraps of different materials. Diane Loyden will bring the refreshments for our next meeting. Judy Hill, Reporter Ruch Woo His The first meeting of the Ruch Woolles 4-H club was held recently at Mrs. Harlan Cantrall s home. The follow in? officers were elected president, Dawn Merickel; vice president, Pcne Bryden secretary, Mar'n Winning- ham; treasurer, Tom Win ningham; news reporter, Mar cia Sample. Meeting dates and dues were fixed and materials for notebooks passed out. Marcia Sample, Reporter Xnlt 'N' Purl The Knit 'N' Purl 4-H club of Rogue River had a lunch eon and work session at the Civic club in Rogue River re cently with members of the Nutty Nlttin Needles of Table Rock road as guests. The Rogue River club dis played blocks that will be put together as blankets for the veterans at the Veterans Administration domiciliary. Slippers and hats, the mem bers have made, were also on display. Cookies, made by tha club were served, and members of tha civic club were included as guests. The visitors bought cookies from tha girls to help finance the local club. The Knit 'N' Purl club is going to have a paper drive and members have asked any one with old newspapers to donate, to call -882-3777 or 582-3733 and tha papers will be picked up. Dabble Dimlck, Reporter Sugar Cookie The Sugar Cookies 4-H club met at the noma of tha leader with 10 members and two visitors present. Linda Guss demonstrated making brownies and served them to members. While waiting for me Drowniea to make the member played a game. Easter favors were made at me meeting Tuesday at Mrs. Long a home. They are to be taken to the homes for eweriy people in Central Point. The e I u b demonstration next month will be given by Billy Head. Billy Head, Reporter Goody Cookers The March meeting of the Jacksonville Goody Cookers 1-H club was called to order by the president, Maria Hrff ncr. The club leader. Mrs. Dun lap, told of changes made in the dinner contests at the fair. It was decided lo postpone the luncheon for mothers un til May but the planning was started al the meeting. The menu for the luncheon will consist of salads. Donna Glathar and Danny Davij gave a demonstration on egg coloring. Refreshments were served by Marta Heff ner and Kathy Neal. Bussen Dusssn The Buzzcn Duzzcn 4-H club mci at the Evana Vll.v school recently with lo mam-1 oers present. The roll call was answered by each girl with her plans for the summer. On April 18 our club will be in the program for the HEU and will modal and give demonstrations un what they have learned in 4-H this year. There will be a special meet lug on April 8 to practice. Demonstrations were Riven by Betty Taylor on proper hair care and grooming, and by Judy Gilrnore on the cor rect way to polish and care for shoes. It was decided that our Mothers Tea will be held May 1(1 in the school lunchroom. Joanle may well drop her elaborate fabriculations as the real world becomes more ap proachable and malleable for her. But even If she clings to some fantasy - making, en route to creative aelf-expres-slon through one of the arts, she must always be brought back to the vital starting-tape: Reality.
