B, Brooks has been named as a communications consultant for Pacific North west Bell's marketing depart ment in the Medford area A native Oregonian, Brooks moved to Medford from the Portland offices of the com pany. He will work with W. H. Pollock, also a communica tions consultant, in handling the larger business accounts for Medford, Ashland, Grants . Pass and Klamath Falls. Brooks started his career with PNB in 1956 in the Port land marketing department. He was promoted to service engineer before moving to Salem for a few months in 1961 as the assistant manager. Since that time he has han dled communications needs for the city of Portland and Multnomah county. Brooks graduated from Portland State college with a bachelor's degree in political science. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. The Brooks family, present ly residing In Hillsboro will move to Medford as soon as housing arrangements can be made. He and his wife, Ella, have three boys, Blenn, 8, David, 7, and Tyler, 4. , , 14 Measles Cases Reported in County All cases of measles in Jack son county during last week were in Medford and Ashland, according to the Jackson coun ty health department. ., , Medford had, 10 cases, and Ashland 4. There were 4 cases of German measles in Med ford. There were 1'7 cases of in fluenza In the county. Seven were in Medford, 7 in Ash land and 3 in Jacksonville. Other communicable dis eases reported to the depart ment were infectious hepati tis, Medford 2, Central Point 2; scarlet feVer, Medford 2; tuberculosis, Medford 1; pneu monia, Ashland 2.
