Auxiliary past presidents planned and gave the party, and staged a style show of gowns from past years. Mrs. Bigalow wore a 1900 wedding gown beloning to Mrs. A. E. Reinking, Jack sonville, and shoes which were worn by the bride of the late Judge Frank TouVelle for her wedding. The shoes also belong to Mrs. Reinking. The Space Age Carnival Theme The "Space Age" will be tne theme of the Lincoln an nual carnival of Parent-Tpach er association. It will he hnlrf in the school gymnasium Fri day, March 29, from 6:30 to v.su p.m. Features are to hr a snare exhibit, cake walk, food and game booths, and a "Country Store." Prizes are beine donated hv local merchants; students are selling tickets. The boy and girl having the best costumes will be crown ed King and Queen for the evening. A missionary from Japan, Miss Helen Water, will speak for a meeting of the Shasta Cascade. Women's Prayer fel lowship set for Friday, March 29. in Ashland. Missionary To Be Speaker Miss Helen Walter, a mis sionary on furlough from Ja pan, will speak during the Shasta - Cascade Women's Prayer fellowship Friday, March 2!) in Ashland First Baptist church. Women from the First Bap tist church, Medford; Bcrean Baptist church, White Cily, Sclma Baptist church, and the O'Brien Baptist church will join the Ashland women for the meeting. The session is to open at 10 a.m., and continue until 2:110 p.m. Purpose for the gatlv ering is to offer prayer for all Conservative Baptist mis sionuries both in home and foreign fields. Miss Walter will remain in Mcdlord to speak Sunday l March 31 in the First Baptist ' church. She is to return to Japan to continue her work there. Mistletoe Club To Honor Members Birthdays of members of the Mistletoe club, Royal Neighbors of America liMlge, will be observed Wednesday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. when the group will meet in the Girls Community club. Calif., last week as a guest of her brother-in-law and sis ter, Mr. and Mrs. James Richmond. irT Tr iriiil' t' -Him i lieJ MEDFORD Style Show for4-H Club Members SetTuesday Local 4-H club members will learn how to fill a "fash ion prescription" when sim plicity's 4-H club stylist, Miss Eleanor J. Echo, is here to show her new spring ward robe. This scw-for-fun wardrobe of patterns is entitled "Fash ion Prescriptions" and will be presented in Jackson coun ty on March 26 at 7:30 p.m.. at the Jackson county exten sion auditorium. The show is open to the public. There is no admission charge. Miss Echo will show 4-H girls fashion remedies for spring, the newest pattern de signs and spring fabrics. Miss Echo was a 4-H club member in New Jersey before going to the University of Miami to receive her degree in home economics. She was a 4-H club agent in Michi gan, then joined the Simpli city educational staff as 4-H club stylist. In her work, she travels throughout the coun try helping to guide 4-H Club girls with their own clothing and good grooming problems. Style Selection Throughout the fashion presentation, Miss Echo will emphasize the importance of selecting styles which best suit the needs of the young 4-H Miss. She will then pre scribe the best way to com bine the correct style with the proper choice in fabric, color and notions. The girls will be encouraged to follow those ideas which are most flattering to their own figure and personality types. Good grooming and good posture remedies, will also be dis cussed. The presentation will in clude several "looks" for spring. First is a group of simple- to-make costumes all with feminine trim treatments. Initiated At Ashland Ashland-Mcmbers of Job's Daughters, Bethel 22, are making plans to hold a joint meeting, Tuesday, March 26 with Bethel 55, Medford. Hon ored Queen Kathy Zimmerlce made the announcement at the last regular session at which four girls were initiated into the order. The initiates, the misses Kathryn Roberts, Christine Wiley, Michele Coldwell, and Lena Richardson, introduced their parents at the conclusion of the ceremony, Mrs. W. R. Brown and William Weber, guardian and associate guard ian of the bethel commended the girls for their initiatory work. Miss Cathleen Harsh, hon ored queen of Bethel 38, Cen tral Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kelley, were guests, bringing with them "Cceile", the traveling rabbit, which will remain in Ashland and later be given to another bethel in the state. A St. Patrick dinner was served preceding the meeting to more than 90 persons.
