of the American Legion was celebrated by
the Medford post and auxiliary at a recent
dinner and program given by the auxiliary.

staged a style show of gowns from past
years. Mrs. Bigalow wore a 1900 wedding
gown beloning to Mrs. A. E. Reinking, Jack
sonville, and shoes which were worn by
the bride of the late Judge Frank TouVelle
for her wedding. The shoes also belong to
Mrs. Reinking.

Local 4-H club members
will learn how to fill a "fash
ion prescription" when sim
plicity's 4-H club stylist, Miss
Eleanor J. Echo, is here to
show her new spring ward
robe. This scw-for-fun wardrobe
of patterns is entitled "Fash
ion Prescriptions" and will
be presented in Jackson coun
ty on March 26 at 7:30 p.m..
at the Jackson county exten
sion auditorium. The show is
open to the public. There is
no admission charge.
Miss Echo will show 4-H
girls fashion remedies for
spring, the newest pattern de
signs and spring fabrics.
Miss Echo was a 4-H club
member in New Jersey before
going to the University of
Miami to receive her degree
in home economics. She was
a 4-H club agent in Michi
gan, then joined the Simpli
city educational staff as 4-H
club stylist. In her work, she
travels throughout the coun
try helping to guide 4-H Club
girls with their own clothing
and good grooming problems.
Style Selection
Throughout the fashion
presentation, Miss Echo will
emphasize the importance of
selecting styles which best
suit the needs of the young
4-H Miss. She will then pre
scribe the best way to com
bine the correct style with
the proper choice in fabric,
color and notions. The girls
will be encouraged to follow
those ideas which are most
flattering to their own figure
and personality types. Good
grooming and good posture
remedies, will also be dis
cussed. The presentation will in
clude several "looks" for
spring.
