Carr (Classic photo) v Medford Church Scene Of Carr-Nease Rites Central Point - Miss Linda Nease became the bride of David D. Carr in single ring rites March 15. Dr. George Roseberry p e r f o r m e d the ceremony at 8 o'clock in the evening at Medford First Methodist church. The bride, a secretary at Howard school, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Nease, 2284 Beall Lane, Central Point. The bridegroom's par ents are Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carr, Route 3,- Box 226D, Medford. Miss Lois Farlow was the bride's only attendant and Robert Carr, a brother of the bridesgroom, was best man. Seating , the . guests were George Carr, another brother from Klamath Falls, and Gail Jensen, Medford." The bride,' given in mar riage by her father, wore a floorlength gown of organza with lace bodice and scalloped neckline. The attendant's gown was of yellow chiffon in baller ina length and her bouquet was of yellow carnations. White chrysanthemums and stock decorated the church. About 125 guests attended the wedding and reception held in the church rooms. Mrs. Meredith P a r s o n s, Medford, served the wedding cake assisted by Mrs. George Swanson, Mrs. Henry Moller poured punch and Mrs. Frank Worrell served the coffee. Registering the guests was Mrs. Richard Schauble, Shady Cove. The bride and family have lived in the valley for 17 years and the bride was grad uated in 1958 from Eagle Point High school. The bride groom's family has lived in the area for many years. He was a 1957 graduate 'from Phoenix High school, and is employed as a warehouse man by M. Trumbo company The couple made their wedding trip to Portland, the bride wearing a black sheath dress with black and white coat. They live on Fern Valley road at Route 3, Box 228B, Medford. Travelers On World Cruise Ashland Mr. 'and Mrs. William Harnden and Mrs. E. T. Carlton of Bcllview are leaving the first of the week for San Francisco where they will board the SS Oriana for a round-the-world cruise. In their party will be Mrs. Hel en Hoskins of Manitou Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Lola Walters of Phoenix, Ariz. Their itinerary includes Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong i and Singapore, Egypt and Italy, where they will leave ship for a 40-day tour of Eur open before returning to New York by jet. All of the travel ers plan to visit in the Unit ed States en route home. MEDFOFD Bride IV Jacksonville Miss Barb ara Ethel Webb, a Southern Oregon college senior, wore her mother's wedding gown when she became the bride of Alfred Wayne Cabler, Star Ranger station U. S. Forest service employee, in rites March 17. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Porter H. Sprague Jr., of Prineville, Ore,, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Cabler, Jacksonville. The double ring ceremony was read at 3 o'clock in the afternoon in the Powell Butte Community . church, nonde nominational, at Powell Butte, Ore. The Rev. D. L. Fenhollow, Redmond. Ore., performed the rites attended by about 100 guests. Miss Miriam Sue Sprague, Prineville, Ore., was her sis ter's honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Miss Mild red Ann Williams, Sulhcrlin, Ore., and Miss Wendy Bing ham, Roseburg, Ore., both col lege friends of the bride. Flower Girl Miss Doranne Cabler, Jack sonville, a niece of the bride groom, was flower girl, and his nephew, Anthony C. Cab ler, Jacksonville, was ring bearer. James O. Cabler, Jackson ville, a brother of the bride groom, was best man, and Ed ward B. Graham, Jackson ville, and Frederic P. Webb, Bend, a brother of the bride, were ushers. The bride was given in mar riage by her stepfather. The bodice and full puffed sleeves of the off-white wedding gown she wore were of ruffled lace and the floor length gown and long train were of net trimmed with panels of lace. Her bonnet brimmed headpiece, loaned by a cousin, Mrs. Michael Mollman, Redmond, was of gathered net trimmed with seed pearls. Attached was a fingertip veil. The brides bouquet was of while carna tions and cymbidium orchids. The honor attendant s gown was of mint green with lace bodice and flared skirt and the bridesmaids sheath dresses in same shade were of raw silk. All carried white car nation bouquets. Candles Lighted -. Gerl Ann and Judy Vice, cousins of the bride lighted the candles. Their frocks were white with embroidered yeV low and green flower designs Church decorations were of white chrysanthemums and carnations with ivy. Miss Frances Wynkoop, Brookings, Ore., the bride's college roommate, and Mrs. E. J. Mollman Jr., furnished the wedding solos. Organist was Mrs. Charles Minson. The reception given by the bride's parents was held in the church social hall. Cutting and serving the cake were Mrs. Loyde Blakley, Bend, and Mrs. Robert Webb, Jack sonville, aunts of the bride. Pouring the punch were Mrs. James Cabler, Jacksonville, a sister-in-law of the bride groom, and Mrs. Jack Vice, an aunt of the bride. Serving coffee were Mrs. J. C. Min son, and Mrs. E. J. Mollman, an aunt of the bride. Mrs. Ed ward B. Graham had charge of the guest book, and pre siding at the gift table were Mrs. Donald Deisch, Klamath Falls, and Mrs. E. J. Mollman Jr., Madras. The couple made their wed ding trip to the Loyde Blak ley's cabin on the Metolius river, and now are living in Jacksonville. Wedding and Mrs. Ambler Edward Klein, Burlingame, Calif. John Bcrglund was soloist for the double ring rites. The bride wore a while satin gown fashioned with bell skirt. The bodice was accent ed with pearls and a sweet heart neckline. Clusters of unpresscd pleats in the skirt were held at each side with a satin bow and formed a chapel length train. Her veil was held by a pearl crown and she car ried a bouquet of white or chids, hyacinths, stcphanotis and ivy. Escorts Bride Mr. Klein escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. Maid of honor was Miss Rae Louise Klein, Burlingame, sis ter of the bride. Her other attendants were Mrs. Barton Andrews, Eugene, and Miss Gini Elderkin, P oca tell o, Idaho, both Alpha Omi cron Pi sorority sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Jean Kelly, San Mateo, Calif. Following the ceremony a reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Klein in the Com missioned Officers club at Treasure Island Naval base. Gladioli, chrysanthemums and gardenias decorated the room. The newlyweds traveled to Canada on their wedding trip and will make their home in Bremerton, Wash, after April 1, where the bridegroom, an ensign in the U.S. Naval Re serve, Is stationed. The bride is a graduate of Burlingame High school and the University of Oregon. Gray, Cherry lane, have re turned to their home after spending several weeks in California, Arizona, Mexico and on the Island of Coyumel in the Caribbean.. The couple visited in Palm Springs, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz., prior to leaving for Mexico City where they met Mr. and Mrs. Mark Goldy. The two couples then con tinued to Mcrida in the north ern Yucatan peninsula. From there they visited the numer ous ruins at Chichcn Itz, Uxmal, and Kabah for four days prior to flying to the Is land of Coyumel. After a week there they returned to Mexico City where they vis ited for several days taking a trip south to Cuernavaca, called the "City of Flowers." From Seattle Ashland - Mrs. Gerald Rice and infant son Michael, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Len Osgood, 720 Walker ave nue, drove to Seattle last week to meet Mrs. Rice's hus band on his return from over seas duty with the Army En gineer corps.
