MAHCi: 20. 1363 Flower Petal Wig Found Flattering With wigj having settled in to the role of a basic in a woman's wardrobe, the latest fashion In hair colors and therefore wigs, too, are the "Flower Petal" shades . . . pale pastel shades which are especially flattering to a wom an. Introduced by Richard Hart wieh, Inc., makers of the "Perma Coif" wig available at many beauty shops, the pale pastel shades are barely no ticeable, yet I'ght up the face with their reflected glow. According to Richard Hart wich, the pale pink tones should g- with a blue or black ensemble. A very light peace goes well with brown, green, or black costumes. Pale shades of beige and gold are universal-colors which can be worn with most ensembles. The mature woman should consider light shades of silver. The colors can be changed at the beauty salon each time the "Perma-Coif" is dressed. The color is unaffected by water yet can be easily sham pooed out and a new color substituted. Like the shoes his teen-age brother is wear ing, the new style is blunted off at a tapered toe, and the shoe has walled, boxy sides. For play or school, boys have a choice of tie oxfords, slip-on moccasins and brush ed split leather chukkas. Black Is still the favored color in smooth and grained leathers, but deep browns are a close second. In casual or school shoes, black and brown is joined by ivy green or bronzed leather. In the brush ed leather, lighter colors such as sand and gray are seen. Place in Fashion Individual Gains C 7 Members of the young set can express their individual ity this spring, in fashions that are thoroughly up to the minute, yet so widely varied that every personal preference can be pleased. From high school and col lege girls to young marrieds, the young fashionables will find junior size styles scaled to fit youthful figures and designed to reflect all the important silhouettes of the season. Certain fashions, of course, are scheduled to find most enthusiastic acceptance with this lively, busy young crowd. Chanel-minded suits and separates, for example, are a favorite. Boxy cardigan jackets, white and ice-cream colored suits with braid bind ings, and good coordination of hues for suits, linings and blouses highlight the easy, smartly casual look. Suits featuring lightly-fitted, front shaped jackets with peplum effects and suits with skirts full of flare are plentiful, and expected to be popular, in junior sizes. Juniors can have their choice of suit jacket lengths, from little bolero to seven eighths tunic. The Norfolk jacket with tunneled belt, seen everywhere in spring suits and sportswear, looks especially right for the young set. Other junior suit successes copy sweaters, with pullovers or concealed - zipper mock pull-overs, and imitate shirts, with casual tops and shirt cuffed sleeves. Skinny But Shapely The skinny but shapely sil houette shows up important ly in dresses. They're sleeve less, boat or scoop necked, often front-shaped, and often with high waistline details. Skinny, too, are junior coats, with seaming and shap ing that follow the figure. Junior favorite among the lean-look coats may well be the many variations designed along princess lines, widened in the skirt. In at front, out at back is shape for still an other easy young coat. Bathrobes Seen "Bathrobes" go out in pub lic this season, in the form of bathrobe coats slim and gathered at the waistline by pull-through or elasticized belts. Cape coats, Norfolk belted coats, circular-flared coats, scarf coats make fash ion news with young indi viduality. Stretching Budget Sportswear, always popular with the young set, provides components to create every look of fashin for spring, with budget-stretching possi bilities. Nautical notes are struck by sportswear styles such as the middy pullover, many separates in red, white and blue, and a wealth of fashions borrowed from the boating enthusiasts. Snow drifts of white waft into junior fashions, followed by the pale pastels such as baby blue, soft yellow, deli cate pink. White accompanies both navy and black In a variety of plaids, checks, prints galore. Fabrics feature loopy mohairs and fluffy woolens, crisp worsteds, silks, linens, denims.
