Vie Shipments May Reach All-Time High Akron, Ohlo-fllPD-American motorists' needs for replace ment tires are expected to push auto tire shipments to a record 80 million units in 1063, while an addtional 36 million will be needed for new cars, according to a tore- cast by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Demand for truck, farm, aircraft and industrial tires is expected to push total tire shipments to 138 million units, also a new high.
