Glen, 7, who attends Hoover school, and Brenda, 5, enrolled at Forbes kin dergarten, each have savings ac counts at First National bank and Valerie, 12, Hedrick Junior High :chool pupil, keeps her money in the Oregon bank. Cheryl Stanley, 13, and her 10-year-old sister, Nancy, both borrow money from the Oregon bank's main branch to buy and feed 4-H club steers; their debts are repaid after the annual fall sale. ( 1 Four-year-old Kirk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Sherman, 2802 LaPine street, made his first trip to the downtown Medford branch, United States National bank, last week to add to the savings account which his parents started for him. Kirk and his brother are being trained to do house and yard chores to earn money. He Is the older son of the Gerald Shermans. Both 12-year-old Patricia Cooney and her brother John, 10, have had savings accounts in the Medford branch of the First National bank of Oregon for a number of i years. Their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Cooney, 1 1 46 West Eighth street, encourage the children to help with the housework and other family chores in order to earn money. John attends Washington school and Patricia, reporter for the Better Batter Beaters, 4-H club, is enrolled at Mcloughlin Junior High school. I 1 Jit? " " I 1)1 All four children of District Judge and Mrs. loren I. Sawyer, 1616 lenora drive, have small banks and are being taught to save money for bank accounts. The twins, Mike (at left) and Eric, 4, and their sisters, Shannon, 9, (seated) and Lauren, 8, all have allowances which they earn by helping with the table setting, dishes, sweeping and bedmaking.
