Barnard plan to leave soon for California and while south will visit their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Barnard, Dow ney, Calif., whose marriage was a recent event in Pitts ford, N.Y. The bride is the former Miss Ann Neena Bridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Bridge of Pittsford. The couple made their wed ding trip to Mexico. The bride is a first grade teacher in the Norwalk, Calif., public school system and is a graduate of New York State University College of Educa tion at Cortland, N. Y. The bridegroom was graduated from Medford High school and the University of Oregon. He now is a recruitment officer for the Los Angeles Depart ment of Water and Power. Church Rites Held The wedding ceremony was read December 21 in Christ Episcopal church by the Rev. Ernest F. Scott. The bride's ballerina length gown was of white Rochelle lace over taffeta. Her bouf fant shoulder length veil was held from a queen's crown of pearls, and her bouquet was of while camellias and holly. Miss Patricia Bridge was her sister's only attendant. She wore a royal blue silk gown and her bouquet was a nosegay of red and white striped carnations centered with holly red carnations. Raymond E. Ashley was best man and ushers were Benjamin Rubel and Elliott, Ashley, all of Pittsford. The reception was held in the home of the bride's par ents. The bridegroom is a mem ber of Phi Kappa Psi fra ternity. . While in California Mr. and Mrs. James W. Barnard also will visit a daughter, Miss Dallas Mae Barnard, in San Francisco, where she is em ployed by an import and ex port firm. Stevens-Gamble Rites Held in Ashland Church Ashland - Miss Judith Ann Gamble became the bride of Bernal Avery Stevens in 4 o'clock afternoon rites held December 29. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren D. Lo max, 620 Ray lane, Ashland, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Andrew E. Stevens, 5055 Pacific High way south, Medford. The Rev. Paul E. Otte read the rites in the Ashland Con gregational church. Over 100 persons attended the cere mony and reception given by the bride's parents. Miss Marion Trorel and Miss Patricia Childreih were bridesmaids and Robert Web ster, Medford, served as best man. Seating the guests were Kenneth Wion, Talent, and Floyd Stevens, Ontario, Ore., cousin of the bridegroom. They also lighted the candles. Bride Wears Satin The bride was cscor'id to the altar and given in mar riage by her stepfather. She wore a satin gown with fit ted bodice styled with long pointed sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and an insert of tulle accented by pearls and rhinestones. The full hooped skirt was designed with in verted pleats and a long train. Her fingertip illusion veil was held by a crown decorated with teardrop and seed pearls with iridescent sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of rosebuds and carnations. The bridesmaids wore matching short red formal gowns with scarf squares of chiffon making an uneven hemline over taffeta sheath lining. Their hats were of white feathers with veiling and they carried colonial white carnation bouquets. The church was decorated with baskets of white chrys anthemums and snapdragons with greenery and red and white poinscttia plants. Pew ends were marked with white bells and satin bows. Ladies of Elks Plan Luncheon Ladies of Elks will meet Tuesday, January 15, for a twelve o clock luncheon in the Elks club downstairs lounge. Canasta, pinochle and bridge will be played during the afternoon. Hostesses will be Mrs. Orrin L. Brown, Mrs. Frank De Costa, Mrs. John W. Henson, Mrs. M. M. Herman and Mrs. Loren P. Soots. Mothers, wives and widows of Elks are eligible to become members and are invited to all events given by Ladies of Elks. The women are requested to notice the 12 noon starting time for Tuesday's luncheon. Reception Follows Mrs. Richard Westcrberg of the Evening guild was in charge of the reception which was held In Fellowship hall of the church. Cutting the cake was Mrs. Jack R. Kiel ing, assisted by Mrs. Virgil Neuenschwander, also guild members. Miss Carol Juedcn was in charge of the guest book and gift table. Miss Sharon Inghram and Miss Mary K. Olson served the punch, coffee and tea. A friend of the bride, Mrs. Ar lie Sessions made and deco rated the bride's cake. The bride's mother wore a green grape colored sheath dress with jacket and beige accessories and the bride groom's mother was dressed in a dark green paisley wool jacket dress with fur trim ming, and her accessories were black. Both wore cor sages of white gardenias with pink rosebuds. The bride is a 1961 Ashland High school graduate and the bridegroom, a graduate of Phoenix High school, served four years in the submarine branch of the Navy. He is self-employed in farming. Fitz gerald, 3488 New Ray road, Central Point, Mrs. lrma Cushman of Elk -Trail, and Mrs. Charles C. Hoover, Greg ory road, were presented cor sages and honored as past presidents of the Eagle Point Garden club at their meeting Wednesday after noo n. Mrs. Ted Flury, president of the club, made and presented the corsages to the honored guests. During a discussion by the members, it was pointed out that no records were actually kept of the club when it first organized but Mrs. Gertrude Haak believes she was the first president of the organiza tion. Mrs. A. Wallenberg was ap pointed chairman of the spring flower show to be held in April. Mrs. Jack James lectured and gave the group pointers Public Ceremony Slated by Lodges A public joint installation of officers for the Olive Re bckah and Odd Fellows lodges of Medford is scheduled for Tuesday, January 15 at 8 p.m., in the IOOF building, on Sixth street. Mrs. K. G. Stockoff, district deputy president, and the Jacksonville installing team, will conduct the ceremonies. on care and growing of house plants. Mrs. Betty Claus and Mrs. Ray Harnish were co hostcsscs for the meeting with Mrs. Thelma Short, Mrs. El bert Heflcy, Mrs. Bennie Hef ley and Mrs. Fitzgerald at tending as guests.
