The Rev. George R. Bolster performed the 8 o'clock evening cere mony. The couple made their wedding trip to San Fran cisco, and will make their home at 1307 Lee street in A fill and. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Larimer, 925 Ml. Pitt avenue, Medford, and Hie bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Green wood, Crowson road, Ash land. Miss Janice Larimer was honor attendant for her sis lor, and bridesmaids were Miss Pamela Watson, Med ford. Miss Karen Hoadricks of Hawaii, who has been a roommate of the bride at col lege, and Miss Jeanie McCay, Ashland. The flower girl was Laura Greenwood. Crescent, Ore., a niece of the bridegroom and Michael Gardner carried the rings. Kenneth Jorde. White City, acted as best man. Ushers were Donald Ross. Ashland; Larry Clements. Duane An derson, both Eagle Point, and nil Delta Phi Delta fraternity brothers of the bridegroom, and Steven Charters, also of Eagle Point. Father Escorts Bride Mr. Larimer gave his daughter in marriage. Her floor length gown was of Chanlilly lace and tulle over taffeta with basque bodice, long sleeves and scalloped scoop neckline embroidered with pearls. The bouffant Hkirt was caught up in back, front and on the sides with lace bows over full tulle ruf fles. Her bouffant elbow length veil was of hand-rolled liilk Illusion held by a tiered miniature crowrt of Dcarls and iridescent crystals. She carried a nosegay of white carnations around a white orchid. Each wore a hat of a single red rose with pearl-trimmed hair braid bow and float veil, varried white muffs with sprigs of holly. The flower girl wore a white dress with red accessories and carried a basket of red and white car nations. Poinsollias and chrysanthe mums decorated the altar and pew ends were marked with while bows centered with red Christmas balls. Friend Sings Miss Pamela Jones, a friend of the bride's family, was soloist. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Larimer wore a while wool frock with brown acces sories and Mrs. Greenwood was dressed in beige lace. Both wore white orchid cor sages. The reception was held in the church parish house. Cut ting the cake were Mrs. J. L. Program, Tea Held By Travel Study Club Travel Study club, one of the Oregon Federation of Wo men's clubs, held their annual Christmas program and a tea, honoring the late Saidie Orr Dunbar, last Tuesday in the Fireplace room at the Girls Community club. Mrs. Dun bar was a well known Oregon clubwoman, and at one time was a resident of Jackson county. There was a lighted Christ mas tree, around which were gifts members brought for the Medford Convalescent home. This was done in lieu of an exchange of gifts among mem bers. They will be taken to the home today when the club sponsors a Christmas party for the residents of the home. Mrs. Edward C. Root read scripture from Luke 2. The Rev. James Sinclair. Ajhland, minister of the Christian church, gave the Christmas message. Attractive painted, baked enamel dill. Couple Larimer, Pinole, Calif., and Mrs. W. G. Larimer, both aunts of the bride. Punch was poured by Mrs. Charles Haley, a sister of the bride groom, and another sister, Mrs. Robert Stewart, Kla math Falls, served the coffee. About 200 guests attended the wedding and reception. Other out-of-town guests in cluded J. L. Larimer; John Larimer, Sacramento, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Green wood, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and their family from Prince George. B.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Greenwood, another brother and sister-in-law and family, Crescent. Ore., and Mr. Stewart and family. The bride attended Med ford High school and the bridegroom attended Eagle Point High school. For traveling the bride wore a brown and green plaid suit with matching ac cessories. He spoke of how much Christmas is commercialized and how much emphasis is placed on the Christmas tree and gifts which represent St. Nick instead of Christ. He read a Christmas message by Richard Halverson, written on the meaning of Christmas. Mr. Sinclair, accompanied by Bruce Murray, Ashland, sang hymns. Mrs. Roy Nye, Ashland, was program chairman, and read the modern version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Edward Streeter. She pre sented Mr. Sinclair and Mr. Murray with gifts from the club. Mrs. Carl W. Peterson, president, conducted a busi ness session. Mrs. Peterson read a tribute to Mrs. Dunbar, a past president of the Oregon Federation of Women's Cluhs, the General Federation of Wo men's Clubs, and of the Ore gon Tuberculosis and Health I association. In 1956 the Oregon Federa tion and the Tuberculosis As sociation Joined together to honor their leader and estab lish a named fund to promote nursing education at the Uni versity of Oregon School of Nursing, and other institu tions, with emphasis on pub lice health nursing. Cluhs of the Oregon Federa tion all will have a tea during December with proceeds go ing to this fund. Mrs. William H. Walwyn gave a report on the CARE drive. Christmas Party Plans were completed for the Christmas party to be held today at the convalescent home. Mrs. Ralph A. Foster, Ash land, was a guest of the club. The tea table had a musical center piece, which played "Jingle Bells." A tall, white candle was in the background, and a crystal candelabra, holding red candles on either side. Mrs. Peterson poured. Mrs .1. C. Otingrr. Mrs. .lark D Rrummnnd, and Mrs. William E. Boone were hostesses for the day. The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 22. at the GirLs Community club. Cushings Make Home In Medford Mr. and Mrs. Stearns Cush ing. whose marriage was an early December event in Sa lem, now live at 108 South Grape street. Medford. The bride, the former Miss Eloise Kay Brown, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Dorcas of Salem. The bridegroom is on the staff here of the Oregon De partment of Employment as a Labor Market analyst for the southern Oregon area, and the bride was employed for the past eight years in the Salem office of the Depart ment of Employment. The wedding ceremony was read December 8 in the First Methodist church, Sa lem, at 2 o'clock in the after noon by the Rev. S. Raynor Smith. The bride chose a street length gown of crystallelte with full skirt and sweetheart neckline. Her elbow length illusion veil was caught to a crown of seed pearls. She car ried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums centered with a white orchid. Cousin Ii Attendant Mrs. Terry J. Slaats, Sa lem, was her cousin's only attendant. She wore a tur quoise lace sheath dress with taffeta overskirt and carried red carnations with holly. Herbert A. Harris, Salem, served as best man. For her daughter's wed ding, Mrs. Dorcas chose a beige brocade dress, with matching jacket and beige ac cessories. Her corsage was of red carnations. A reception was given by the bride's parents following the ceremony. Mrs. Glenn A. Skecls, Hillsboro, sister of the bride, cut the cake, and Mrs. Orville Thompson, Portland, another sister, and Mrs. G 1 a d ys Scheverman, Mon mouth, aunt of the b r i d e, poured. For traveling the bride wore a green wool sheath dress with brown mink col lared coat and brown accessories. 1 f r Mary Gayle Hodgina June Wedding Planned by Pair Ashland Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Hodgina, 1(12 North Mountain avenue, Ashland, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Gayle Hodgins, to Dale Morris Wal ter, son of Mrs. Vera Waller of Talent and the late Harry Walter. Miss Hodgins is a graduate of Oregon State university, class of Iflfil, and is now teaching in South Salem High school. Mr. Waller was graduated from Southern Oregon college in lflSO and is now employed at Jackson County Federal Savings and Loan of Medford. A June wedding is planned. Concert Band To Appear Here The Lewis and Clark col lege concert band, under the direction fo Allen B. Skei, is planning a first annual tour of Oregon towns January 25 through :in. The band will visit Medford Sunday, Jan uary 27. Olher towns hosting the musiral visitation are Springfield. Albany, Astoria, Tillamook and Glide. The 41-member band Is composed mainly of freshmen and sophomores who are se lected by audilion each fall. Two Medford freshmen, Miss Mary Milne, oboeist, and Lynn Peterson, clarinetist, will appear with the music ians. The program consists large ly of original band music ranging in style from 18th century religious works to 20th-century secular works. I ..i hL- 1 0 at-- v m sir Sandra Buckendahl Cave Junction Couple Engaged Cave Junction-The engage ment of Miss Sandra jean Buckendahl to Noel Scott Turner has been announced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold W. Buckendahl. The bridegroom elect is a son of Mrs. R. Scott Turner, and the late Mr. Turner. Both Miss Buckendahl and her fiance are residents of Cave Junction. A 1062 Illinois Valley High school graduate, the bride-elect is now attend ing Medford School of Beauty and living at the Girls Com munity club in Medford. The bridegroom-elect Is a IPfiO graduate of the Illinois Valley High school and plans to return to Southern Oregon college in January to com plete his junior year. He is a member of Delta Phi Delta fraternity. No wedding date has been set. Tetons-Flower Rites Announced Montague Mrs. Jeannette Flower and Jack Tetons, both Montague, were married in Reno, Nov., November 24, with Judge Guerin officiating. For Hie ceremony, Mrs. Flower wore a green knit suit with black accessories. The new Mrs. Tetons is a surgical nurse at the Siskiyou County hospital in Yreka, and her husband is employed by C. L. Churchill and Son, lumber supply in Montague. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Churchill. Relatives Spend Holidays Here Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Me Donald and family of Para dise, Calif., arrived in Med ford Saturday to spend the holidays with their parents, Mrs. Fred Rankin, 18 Rich mond avenue, and Mrs. Alfred McDonald, 1813 East Jackson street. Also arriving is Mrs. Clin ton Bressee, Coos Bay, who will be a guest of her sister-in- law, Mrs. Alfred McDonald and Mrs. McDonald's mother, Mrs. Charlotte Allen, also of the East Jackson street ad dress. All of the families will have Christmas dinner at the Alfred McDonalds. ft Main and Bartlett Streets "T " Newlyweds Now Making Home in Cave Junction Cave Junction Mr. and Mrs. Dale Campbell, whose marriage was a recent event, are living for the present in Cave Junction. The bride is the former Miss Ardyth Cur rent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Current, Cave Junc tion, and both the bride and bridegroom attended Illinois Valley High school, where the bridegroom was graduated in lOtiO. The wedding rites were read in an afternoon cere mony November 17 In the First Raptist church in Lea dore, Ida. Before arriving recently In Cave Junction the couple lived In Billings, Mont., where the bridegroom was employ ed in drilling and mining. The bride is a granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Tibbs of Cave Junction. Betrothal News Is Made Known Mr. and Mrs. Homer Elzea, 302 Vancouver avenue, an nounce the engagement of their daughter. Miss Eileen Irene Elzea, to Darryl Dennis Sutton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd O. Sutton, 3761 South Pacific highway, Phoenix. Miss Elzea is a senior at Medford High school, and is employed part time by J. C. Penney company. Mr. Sutton is a 1950 graduate of Medford High school. He served three years in the United Slates Army and is now employed by KYJC. The wedding Is planned for next fall. Holiday Luncheon Held in Montague Montague - Mrs. Samuel Cairns entertained the Willow Creek club at her ranch home north of Montague with a holi day luncheon December 13. A Christmas tree and holi day arrangements decorated the rooms. The luncheon table was centered with a white bowl of poinsetlias and green ery and angel favors were at each place. Thirteen women attended. Exchange of gifts was held during the afternoon. The bride's father was host for a wedding supper at Eu gene's restaurant in Reno. The bride attended Medford High school and recently com pleted her courses at the Uni versity of Oregon, and will he graduated in June. After the holidays, she will begin practice teaching in Rose burg, and the couple will live in that city. Malcolm Hammond pastor of the First Methodist church in Ashland, has been elected president ot the board of directors of Sis kiyou Knife and Fork club, Ashlrnd. Marcus Norton, Phoenix, was elected as vice president and Mrs. Widener Hendrixson was reelected secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Amos Huser, Talent, was elected to fill the unexpired term of the late Dr. E.
