Mrs, Schall will ling the contralto role, and Mr. Schall, the tenor. Richard Graham, Shakespearean actor, will be narrator. "The Messiah", considered one of Handel's most beautiful works, is a traditional Christmas presentation in many cities and communities. The program, featuring the Southern Oregon Little Symphony orchestra and The Messiah chorus, is presented by the SOC Music department with Dr. Herbert Cecil directing. Eagles Auxiliary Initiation ceremonies and election of an outside guard will be conducted at the meeting of the auxiliary to the Crater Lake aerie, Fra ternal Order of Eagles, when the group meets Thursday, December 6 at 8 p.m. Officers and drill team members will meet for prac tice Tuesday, December 4 at 8 p.m. Yule Luncheon The annual Christmas luncheon of the Women's guild, Zion Lutheran church, will be held Tuesday, Decem ber 4, at 12 noon in the So cial hall of the Parish Educa tion building. Douglas Huegli, Portland, will be the guest speaker. All women of the church are invited to attend. There will be a nursedy for pre school children and mothers are asked to bring a sack lunch for their child. Milk will be provided. Luncheon Planned At Illinois Valley Illinois Valley - Cue Star Mothers of Illinois Valley re cently planned a Christmas party and luncheon for De cember 18 to be held in the World War I hall. 'cmbers are to invite guests and ajl will participate in the pro gram with a skit, sor.g or poetry. Mrs. Nina Weber was ap pointed in charge of decora tions. Gifts will be exchanged and those who attend will contribute to the noon lunch eon. At the meeting, held in Cave Junction, the grou.i also decided lo purchase 15 can teen books for adopted veter ans at the Veterans Domicili ary at White City. They also will send boxes of candy and cookies as part of their Christ mas project. Meeting Slated Jacksonville Miss Melba Graham will preside for the regular session of Warren As sembly of the International Order of Rainbow Girls, Mon day, December 3, at 7:15 p.m., in the Jacksonville Masonic temple. Mrs. Hazel Graham, su preme deputy in Oregon, was honored at the last meeting with an addendum and was presented a gift from the as sembly. Also escorted was Mrs. Charles A. Young, Jack sonville, who was presented a past mother advisor pin as a token of appreciation for her work in organizing the assembly and being the char ter mother advisor. To amuse a sick child, take a colorful cap from a sham poo or detergent container and plant a few seeds in reg ular soil. Enclose an eye drop per for watering the flower pot.
