Tax Assessment Voided by Court Salem - IUPU - Judge Peter Gunnar of the Oregon Tax Court voided an assessment against Industrial Air Prod ucts Co., a Portland corpora tion owned by members of the Schnitzer family. Earlier the tax commission 1 had assessed Harold Schnitzer on account of transfers of funds made by the Philippine corporation to Schnitzer as loans, but which the tax com mission held were liquidating dividends. The complete liquidation of a subsidiary by its parent does not result in a tax liability Judge Gunnar ruled.
