Four A-l Berths Up ; For Grabs United Press International Four of five berths left for the Oregon high school class A-l football playoffs will be up for grabs tonight. Medford is at Orants fass, North Salem olays host to South Salem and Tillamook is at Oregon City in games for three of the spots. Beaverton, Hillsboro, Mil waukie and David Douglas can end in a tie for the fourth berth although Beaverton can gain the spot by winning at Hillsboro. Prineville is at Pendleton in a contest for the fifth berth Saturday. Jefferson, Jesuit and Rose- burg clinched spots in the playoffs last week end. Seven berths remaining for the class A-2 playoffs will be sought. Seaside clinched spot last week end. Southern Cal Choice By Two By United Press International Southern California was a two touchdown choice to brush past Stanford Saturday while virtually cinching a trip to the Rose Bowl. And coach Jack Curtice of the Indians, although stating that the Trojans can be beat en, wasn't quite sure how he would go about stopping the speed of Willie Brown and shots up the middle by Ben Wilson. Cactus Jack already has two good upsets under his belt this year and was ex pected to take every advant age he could of any ovcrcon fidence the undefeated Tro jans might display. In other top West Coast games Saturday, California in vades Washington, the Air Force comes to UCLA, Wash ington State Is at Oregon and Oregon State at Idaho. w,.H,ur.H,,wr"mi"in i ii ii iiiiaiiiuii Him Unscheduled Match Takes Play From Wrestling An unscheduled match be tween Haru Sasaki and Nick Kozak almost took the pUy away from the wrestling midg ets on Thursday night s card at Medford armory. It all started when Sasaki put a Japanese sleeper hold on Ted Evans and then failed to heed Referee Harold "Buck" Davidson's orders to break the hold. Sasaki did break it, but only long enough to smash Davidson to the mat. Kozak came to Davidson's rescue and the furious skir mish was finally broken up when Promoter Elton Owen came into the ring and held Kozak at bay while Davidson brought Sasaki under control. Davidson awarded the match to Evans on a foul after the cunning Japanese ace had won the first fall with judo chops and Evans had evened it with a figure four leg lock. In a wild match that kept the good-sized crowd howling with laughter most of the time. Tiny Tim pinned Fuzzy Cupid for the lone fall. Tim teamed with Little Beaver to give Cupid and his partner. Eagle Point Hosts SH Tonight Eagle Point Rogue league football will wind up here to night. The Eagle Point Eagles will take on the Sacred Heart Trojans. This is a makeup for a game postponed by the Columbus day storm. Outcome of the contest will have little league significance since the Rogue league title is already settled. Kozak used an airplane spin to subdue Irish Pat O'Brien in a fine match in which both men displayed exceptional grappling ability. Ore gon State has won 29 and Idaho 6. The Vandals haven't won since 1952.
