The bride grooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gruber, Silver- ton. Ohio. coat and white accessories, and a corsage from her bridal bouquet. After a honeymoon spent traveling in Canada, the newlyweds will be at home at 800 South Oakrinle avenue in Medford. Mr. Gru ber is employed at the Bureau of Land Management. Her silk illusion veil fell from a pleated satin crown and she carried white gladioli and lemon leaves. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sis ter. Mrs. Marion Ballard, George, Wash., who wore a beige silk sheath, matching hat and chapel veil. Her bou quel was pink gladioli. Larry Gruber, Silverton, was his brother's best man and Craig Smith and Marion Ballard ushered. The bride's mother wore an aquamarine lace suit and the bridegroom's mother an em broidered yellow dress. Both had corsages of white glad' ioli and rosebuds. Following the riles lunch eon was served at North's The bridal party was seated at a lace-covered table decorated with pink gladioli, white chrysanthemums and tall white tapers. Small tables for the guests, and the parents table held vases of similar flowers. The bride's nephew, Danny Ballard, took charge of the guest book. Mrs. Leroy Welch cut the wedding cake, and Miss Bonnie Allingham, Pros pect, served punch. The bride was graduated from the University of Oregon in June, receiving her bach elor degree in finance and economics. Formerly she at tended Montana State univer sity for three years where she became a member of Phi Chi Thcta, a national business womans fraternity. She is a graduate of the Valier High school. The bridegroom attended schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was graduated in forestry from I he University of Mon- Medford Woman Now in Germany Mrs. Stanley K. Young left August 22 for Germany by way of the polar route and will join her husband who is serving with the Army In field communications out of Frank furt. Mrs. Young Is the former Miss Jacqueline Smith, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim G. Smith, Route 4. Bov 323, Ar nold lane, Medford. She is a 10SP Jacksonville High school graduate and until leaving for her trip was employed at the East. Side Beauty salon. Mr. Young is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson, former Medford residents, now of Stockton, Calif. He Is a Medford High school grad uate. He spent 17 weeks In basic training at Ft. Ord, Calif , and immediately fol lowing on January of this year, left for Germany. The couple expect to live In Germany for the next year. New Dance Club Organized Here The first dance of the new "Over 30" dance club will he held Friday, September 14, l the Jackson House. This new club is open to the pub lic, and is being formed for people who enjoy dancing. Dnnces will be held each Friday night at the Jackson House. The Millalres will fur nish the music, and lessons In the Latin dances will be given for one-half hour before each dance. Further information may he nhlained from W. Several Rogue Valley stores will participate in the event, which is scheduled to start at 12 o'clock noon. Following the fashion show and luncn eon, those who wish may re main to play cards. Co-chairmen for the func tion are Mrs. John Lynch and Mrs. William Cownlng. A committee headed by Mrs. Charles Mickelson is planning the decorations. Mrs. Roger Sterton is in charge of the menu and music, and Mrs. Donald Jackson is planning the programs. Hostesses are being selected by Mrs. Floyd Hart. Mrs. N. J. Wilson is in charge of the Fall Fashion Show Set By Junior Service League The Junior Service league models, and Mrs. Fred Lewis is arranging for the prizes. Commentator for the style I show will be Mrs. Carl Wim-1 berly Jr. Reservations may be made with Mrs. Richard Hensley at 773-1958. j Proceeds from the benefit will go to the kindergarten for hard-of-hcaring children which the League operates. To Leave Mrs. Richard Frederick and four children, Jan, Shauna. Bruce and Matthew, Whitman place, will leave tomorrow for Sacramento, Calif., from where they will board the train for Nephi, Utah. Point residents traveled to Gold Beach recently from where they made the trip up the Rogue river by mail boat. Included were Mrs. Vera Kim mel, Mrs. Ethel Coy, Mrs. Raymond Harnish, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Wolgamott and children, and Miss Nettie Halte, Arago, Ore. Geo.
