MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFORD. OREGON SUNDAY. AUGUST 5. 19S2 Anderson-Bohl Rites Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Keith Anderson are to rpium in Medford today from their wedding trip to Canada and Seattle, Wash. The couples marriage was an event of July 21 in the Medford First Church of the Nazarene. The bride, the former Miss Janet Elaine Bohl, daughter of Mrs. Grace Bohl, 716 Welch street, chose to be married in the church which she has at tended since she was three years old. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson, 1187 Morrow road. About 200 persons were present for the 8 o'clock cere mony read by the Rev. Har old M. Sanner. The bride, given in marri age by her mother, wore a gown of Alencon lace with scalloped neckline and design ed with chapel train. The front of the full skirt was styled with an insert of net , ruffles. She carried a bou ' quet of white and rose colored gladiolus. Miss Mary Lou Bohl was ; maid of honor for her sister, l and another sister, Mrs. Larry Conway, Central Point, and j Mrs. David Gardner, were bridesmatrons. Miss Judy I Ballestrasse, Seattle, Wash., her cousin, was bridesmaid. Their matching gowns were of rose brocade with bell shaped skirts and they carried nosegays of rosebuds and gladiolus. Gina Rice was flower girl and Gil Erickson, Seattle, a cousin of the bridegroom, car ried the rings. Lighting the candles were Walter Peterson, San Fran cisco, and Alf Peterson, Klam ath Falls, a brother-in-law of the bridegroom: they also served as ushers. Serving as best man was Mr. Gardner. Also seating the guests were Ron Anderson, twin brother of the bridegroom, Willard Anderson, another brother, and Larry Conway, a brother-in-law. For her daughter's wedding and the reception held imme diately following the cere mony in the church annex, the bride's mother wore a white crystaline frock with blue nylon stole. Her corsage was of white gladiolus. The bridegroom's mother wore a rose-beige lace dress and her corsage was of white carnations. Mrs. Melvin Johnson served the punch and Mrs. W. H. Hansen the wedding cake, while Mrs. Fred Cane regis tered the guests. The reception table was decorated with carnations, roses and gladiolus. For traveling the bride wore a white dress with pleated skirt and bodice embroidered with rosebuds. Her corsage was the rose gladiolus from her bridal bouquet. The bride is a senior stu dent in education at Southern Oregon college. She also has attended Northwest Nazarene college. She was active in the Girls' Athletic association and was a majorette in the high school band. She is also a member of the Antelope Home Econom ics and Livestock 4-H clubs. Miss Barton is employed at Bud s Drive-Up. Her fiance is a graduate of the 1!)61 class at Medford High school and is employed at the Lewis Manufacturing company in Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Maudlin are making their home at 5921 South Pacific highway, Medford, following their wed ding trip to San Diego, Calif. Their wedding was held July 20 in First Presbyterian church, Hollywood, Calif. The bride is the former Miss Ruth Albertson, Los Angeles, a daughter of B. C. Albertson, Indianapolis. Ind. Mr. Maudlin, a Medford real estalo broker, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Maud lin, Hillsboro, Ind. Dr. Clair B. Gahagen read the rites at 6:30 o'clock in the afternoon. About 65 guests attended. The chapel was decorated with pink and white flowers. For the wedding the bride chose a white cotton gown designed with full skirt and pin tucked bodice. An empire line was created by lace in sertions, and lace also out lined the square neckline. Her cascade bouquet was of while cattleya orchid, white roses, and stephanotis. Mi.os Betty Albertson, Glendale, Calif., attended her sister. Her empire style frock was in baby pink, and she carried a cascade bouquet of Happiness roses. Clare Carpenter, Van Nnys, Calif., served as best man for his cousin. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church. Joining the wedding party in the reception line were Miss Karen and Keith Maudlin, twin daughier and son of the bridegroom. For traveling the bride ad ded to her bridal dress a white linen coat, and white acces sories. Couple Married The new Mrs. Maudlin at tended high school in Indian apolis, Ind., and the Univer sity of California at Los An geles. Before her marriage she was employed aa a secre tary by Richfield Oil corpor ation in Los Angeles. Mr. Maudlin attended Hills boro, Ind., High school and Indiana university. Benefit Dinner Open to Public Ashland - The public is In vited to attend the annual out door barbecue chicken dinner to be given by members of the Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic church in Ashland, today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m The event will be held at the church. Tickets will be available at the church and special prices will be made for children. Family tickets will be avail able. Proceeds of the dinner will be used toward a parking area project. Frank Arnolds To Be Honored Cenlral Point Open house will be held this afternoon beginning at 2 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arnold, 4611 Gebhard road, Central Point, honoring the couple on the occasion of their fifthieth wedding anniversary. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited at attend. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold were married August 4, 1912 in Decatur county, Kansas. They have lived In the Rogue Val ley for 32 years. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Berg man are living in their new hofiie at Route 2, Box 217M, Foothills road, Medford, fol lowing their wedding trip to Lake Tahoe. The bride is the former Mrs. Hazel Carter of 331 Ed wards street, and the bride groom formerly lived at 3012 Crater Lake highway. The couple's marriage was an event of July 15. The Rev. Sydney G. Austin performed the ceremony at 10:30 o'clock in the morning In the Park Wedding chapel, Reno, Nev. For her wedding the bride wore a lilac embroidered sheath dress with white accessories. The bride Is employed at the J. C. Penney Company store and the bridegroom owns and operates the Berg man Welding shop. Wedding Planned For September Prospect - Mr. and Mrs. Eu gene F. Burrill, Red Blanket road, Prospect, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Celeste, to Dennis Bjelland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Bjel land, Kernvillr, Ore. Miss Burrill is a graduate of Prospect High school and is a senior at Walla Walla col lege, College Place, Wash, She is mnjoring In physical education. Mr. Bjelland is a graduate of Columbia academy, Battle Ground, Wash. He Is a senior business administration major at Walla Walla college. The wedding is planned for September 23 In the Medford Seventh-day Advenlist church Cenlral Point- Miss Sara Jo anne Elden became the bride of Wallace Stewart Campbell, Vancouver, Wash., in a cere mony held Friday, July 27, in Medford First Presbyterian church. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Harrison F. Elden, Route 1, Box 487, Central Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Piner Campbell, Seattle, Wash., are the bridegroom's parents. Dr. Thomas W. McNeil of ficiated at the eight o'clock candlelight ceremony. About 150 guests attended the double ring rites. Baskets of pink gladioli decorated the altar of the church, and the pew ends were marked with pink gladi oli and white bows. Mrs. Charles P. Champlin sang the wedding prayer, and Mrs. N. S. Thames provided the organ music. Wears Taffeta Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of silk taffeta, fashioned with fitted bodice and scoop neck line. The full skirt was de signed with side detail of appliqued pink roses under a petal overskirt, and chapel train. Her elbow length veil of illusion was held by a Dior rose centered with pink pearls. She carried an orchid encircled by cascading stephanotis. Mrs. Robert Elden, Lake view, was honor attendant for her sister-in-law. Other at tendants were Mrs. Richard Davis, Central Point; Mis. Dennis Burns, Portland; Miss Ann Primrose, O 1 y m p i a, Wash., Miss Linda Conley, Portland, and Miss Dolores Pfahl, Portland. All but Mrs. Davis are Alpha Phi sorority sisters of the bride. They wore frocks of pink crystaline, fashioned with full skirts and pink satin cummerbunds. Their hats were a circle of pink silk tulle over a pink rose, and they carried cascade bou quets of pink gladioli. Miss Lee Hamilton, Central Point, a cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Jack T. Walker III, Medford, lighted the candles. Their gowns were white cm- broldered crystaline with ! pink satin cummherbiinds, and pink flower wristlets. Roger C. Johnson, Washing ton, DC, was best man. Seat ing the guests were Robert H. Elden, Lakeview. brother of the bride; James Stillwell, Portland, John Law, Seat tle, Fred Hcidemann, Hood River, and Richard Clarke, Seattle. The mother of the bride chose a powder blue silk and lace dress with matching blue hat and white accessories for the wedding and reception. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale blue silk frock with matching accessories. Both wore pink rosebud cor sages. The floral decorations In both the church and the re ception hall were arranged by Mrs. Sieve Benslon and Mrs. Lester Gorden. During the reception a bride's candle was on the ta ble with the guest book, with Mrs. Gordon Mekvold In charge. Mrs. Norman Hillyer and Mrs. Bert Caster cut and serv ed the wedding cake. Coffee and punch were poured by Mrs. Scott Hamilton, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Aldred Setness, Anderson, Calif. The couple traveled to the Oregon coast on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a pale green linen suit with bone colored accessories. Her cor sage was the orchid from her bridal bouquet. Bride Is Teacher The bride is a graduate of Crater High school and Ore gon State university. During the past year she was a teach er in the Salem public school I way to Japan. Attending the wedding was Mrs. Claude M. Johnson, grandmother of the bride, Cen tral Point. Out of town guests included Mrs. Sadie Hagan, aunt of the bride groom; Mrs. William Eccles, sister of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bounds, visiting in the valley on their system, and she is now under contract to the Vancouver, Wash., schools. The bridegroom attended Seattle, Wash., school, and was graduated from Washing ton Slate university.
