8 D Former Valley Man , Transferred East Portland Daniel F. O' Leary, accountant at the U.S. forest service regional office in Portland, has been promot ed to supervisory accountant in the North Central region office at Milwaukee, Wis. O'Leary joined the forest service in 1959 as administra tive assistant on Hie Rogue River National forest, Med ford. Prior to that he had been employed by the Army Corps of Engineers and the post of fice department, and served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. OREGON Measles Leads List Of County Diseases Measles again led the list of communicable diseases re ported by the Jackson county health department last week, according to Dr. A. Erin Mer kel, public health physician. Of the 71 reported cases, 11 were German measles. In addition, one case of strep throat was reported in Medford. Two cases of Influ enza were recorded, two cases of fifth disease, and one of chickenpox, all in Medford. Jury Finds in Favor 01 Medford Doctor A Jackson county circuit court jury Thursday after noon returned a verdict in a damage suit in favor of Dr. Milton Snow. Medford. The suit had been brought by Mrs. Mary E. Racsdale, 160 DeHague ave., Medford. She sought $3,000 in damages for injuries she charger she re ceived during treatment by the doctor. Judge James M. Main pre sided at the trial. Hugh Col lins was the attorney for Dr. Snow, and Bernard Kelly was Mrs. Ragsdalc's attorney.
