Diplomas were awarded by Otto Ewaldsen, chairman of the board of education, and awards and scholarships were announced by William E. Ruck, chairman of the high school scholarship committee. Twenty-three seniors were listed on the academic honor; list, which replaces the tra ditional valedictorian-saluta-torian. CORDA Directors The board of directors of the California Oregon Recre ation Development association last week set a new fiscal year budget of $23,680. according to Executive - Secretary and Vice President Charles Col lins. At a meeting at Lake of the Woods, recreation directors from CORDA counties report ed on projects and county Yreka Dog Leash Lav Effective Soon Yreka - Yreka's dog leash law will go into effect 30 days from now, following final approval of the ordi nance by the Yreka city coun cil Thursday. . The ordinance provides for keeping dogs from running loose on public property. Owners whose pets are picked up and impounded will face minimum fine of $5.75. Councilmen also adopted an ordinance to permit sell ing ice cream and other milk products from vehicles. An ordinance providing for additional parking meters on South Broadway and South Main st. was introduced, and a resolution was passed by the council favoring a joint city-county health Inspection program.
