Cohost esses with Mrs. Beach were Mrs. Belle Jones and Mrs. Donald Day. The Ncal-Issi wedding; is ret for Saturday, June 9. The bride-elect is a daugh ter of Mrs. Dominick Issi, 3073 Delta Water road, and the late Mr. Issi. Her fiance is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Neal, 2104 Roberta road. Both are students at Southern Oregon college. For the shower crystal bowls filled with roses dec orated the rooms and the re freshments tables were cen tered with nosegays of pink rosebuds. Attending were Mrs. Don ald Giles, Mrs. Bruce Burns, Mrs. Michael Jacobs, Mrs. Melvin R. Murray; Mrs .Rose Kornblum and her sister, Mrs. Pearl Kaplan, Mrs. Issi, the hostess and honored guest. With the exception of Mrs. Kaplan, all the guests and hostesses are members of the nursing staff at Rogue Valley hospital. Church Wompn Will Be Guets Members of the Women's association and circles of V e s t m i nsler Presbyterian church will be guests of Mrs. Harry Elmore and Mrs. Ed win Slrother at the Elmore Trailer villa, 1059 Morrow road Tuesday, June 5. A program, directed by Mrs. James P. Rowan, will open the meeting at 10 a.m. Included will be a dedication ot articles made or collected by the groups for World serv ice. Those who attend should take a sack lunch. Coffee and dessert will be provided by the association. A nursery for pre-school children will be maintained at the church, 2000 Oakwood drive. (Krohn photo) Sandra Marie Krout Bride of Allen Young Of interest here is news of the May 27 marriage of Miss Sandra Marie Krout, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Y, Krout of Vancouver, Wash., to Allen D. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Young, former Medford residents, now of Portland. The date also was the occasion of the 29th wed d 1 n g anniversary of the bridegroom's parents. The ceremony was per formed at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon at Centenary-Wilbur Methodist church, Port land, by the Rev. Herbert E. Morris. The bride's honor attendant was Miss Linda Baker, Springfield, Ore., and brides maids were Miss Marilyn Krout, Vancouver, Wash., a sister of the bride, and Miss Nancy Young, Portland, a sis- j ter of the bridegroom. Lisa Lu cas, Medford, a cousin of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. Keith Van Horn, Medford, a cousin of the bridegroom, was best man, and Robert Fewkes, Milwaukie, Ore., and Oldham-Hamm Ceremony Read at Medford Church Miss Sharyn Louise Hamm became the bride of E. Dan Oidham in a double ring cere mony May 25 in the First Methodist church. The cere mony, read by the Rev. Mel vin W. Dixon of St. Luke's Methodist church, was per formed at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. James L, Foster, 734 Garfield avenue, and Gordon E. Hamm of Areata, Calif. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Claude Oldham, 827 West Fourteenth street. The couple chose the date of their wedding because 61 years previously, the bride's great-grandfather, TV. Frank Roberts of Medford had been married on that date. Mr. Krout gave his daugh ter in marriage. For her wedding the bride wore a gown of nylon organza over taffeta, designed with a front panel of lace beading and chapel train, Aet shout dcr length veil was held by a crown of seed pearls and cry stals. She carried a white Bible with pink cypripedium orchids and stephanotis The attendants wore match ing gowns of blush pink nylon organza over taffeta, with bodices of lace. The blush pink circlets which they wore ; as headpieces were held by pink roses, and each carried a nosegay of pink and white carnations. - The flower girl's dress was of white and pink taffeta with nylon overskirt. She carried a basket of pink and white car nations. White gladiolus with pink snapdragons decorated the church to complete the color scheme of the wedding. The wedding songs were furnished by Miss Marie Hoffman accompanied by Miss Joan Pratt, organist. At the rception which fol lowed. Miss Linda Cresap, Battle Ground, Wash., and Miss Cheryl Krout, Vancou ver, served the punch. Mrs. William Burdick and Mrs. S. James Krout served the cake. Miss Judy Engle, Portland, took charge of the guest book and assisting with the gifts were Miss Julia Van Horn and Miss Sandra Kline, Medford. Ester Reed daisies deco rated the reception table. For their wedding trip the couple flew to Hawaii and are to return to Victoria, B.C., Canada, to spend a week. They will live, in Portland. The bride is a graduate of Evergreen High school and Chase Business college, both iii Vancouver. The bride groom is a Medford High school graduate and both are employed by Pacific Power and Light company in Port land. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Cox, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Kline and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Van Horn and Miss Julie Van Horn, Keith Van Horn and Mrs. Lillian Lay, all Med ford; and Mrs. J. Fisk, Vrn Duzen Station, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Baker and family, Springfield. In California o Mr. and Mrs. Martin Farn ham. Anderson Creek road. Talent, are spending several the bridegroom, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Bonnie Knapp and Miss Nola Sue Robbins. Gene Harvey was best man. Seating the guests were Rich ard Orr and Robert Ncuman. Mr. Hamm gave his daugh ter in marriage. v The bride wore her moth er's wedding dress. It was of white slipper satin with long train and sweetheart neck line, and trimmed with min iature self - material covered i buttons. Her shoulder length veil was held by a crown of sequins ai d seed pearls. She carried a white orchid on a white Bible. The bride's attendants wore matching electric blue satin Mrs. Don Poling, a sister of frocks and matching head bands of satin and net. They carried nosegays of bachelor buttons and gardenias. Kurtis C. Hamm, a brother of the bride, and Doreta Old ham, a sister of the bride groom, were candlelighters. Baskets of white stock and bachelor buttons decorated the church. Mrs. Leslie Board man furnished the wedding music. A reception was given by the bride's parents in the church rooms. Miss Oldham had charge of the guest book, while Miss Nancy Breeze served coffee and Miss Sandra Evernharl poured punch. Mrs. Kenneth Van Ausdall and Miss Pamela Roberts served the cake. Also here for the wedding was Mrs. Gordon Hamm of Areata. Miss Grace Gail Feted at Party; June Rites Set Gold Hill-Miss Grace Gail was guest of honor at a bridal shower given May 26 in the Fellowship room of Gold Hill Community Methodist church. Miss Gail's marriage to Leroy Johnson will be an event of June 18 at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon at the Gold Hill church. Hostesses for the shower were Mrs. Arthur Boye, Mrs. J. G. Kofahl. Mrs. Delos Walker, Mrs. Melvin Burnett, Miss Rose Drake, Mrs. Paul Moiloy, and Mrs. Ear! Moore, all of Gold Hill. The table at which the hon ored guest opened her gifts was centered with an arrange ment of white peonies in a crystal bowl. Pink and white carnations stood in a pastel hand painted vase on the gift table; baskets of spring flow ers and a pink umbrella com pleted the decor for the room. Miss Drake and Miss Can dice Gail took charge of the gift table and Mrs. C. Nor man Gail, mother of the bride-elect, kept the gift list. Miss Gail is a teacher in the Parkrose Elementary School system, Portland. She is a daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Gail, Gold Hill. Mr. Johnson is a son of Mr. and I 'rs. W. L. Johnson, Portland. The tour will start at A a.m. from the county courthouse. The luncheon will be at noon in the Top Flight room of Rogue Valley Country club. After the luncheon there will be installation of officers for the coming year. The pro gram, to be given by Mrs. Ira Fitzgerald, will be slides on "The Years in Review." Theater League Elects; Season's Plavs Listed Officers for the board of di rectors of the Broadway The ater League of Medford were elected at a meeting held May 25 at Kim s restaurant. They are Manville Heisel, Medford lawyer, president; Ronald Rickets, vice presi dent; Mrs. Oscar Halboth, pub licity chairman; Robertson Collins, theater chairman; Dwight Houghton, treasurer; Mrs. Ray Casterline, secre tary; Mrs. Robert Taylor, cam paign chairman. Other board members are Mrs. C. H. Buffingiors, Rob ert Beibn, Mrs. John Reid, Mrs. Arion Skinner, Mis. Fred Lewis, Mrs. Ralph Hibbs and Mrs. Kent Blackhurst, Paul Fairly, representative of United Performing Artists, met with members of the Medford league May 29 and told the group that the plays for the coming season "are some of the most exciting ever presented," Booked for Medford are "Mary, Mary," a comedy; "Carnival," described as a "wonderful musical" based on the motion picture, "Lili;" "A Shot in the Dark" ard "Fantastteks" another musi cal stilt playing in New York. Those having membership tickets can renew them for the 62-63 season, and renewal notifications will be in the mail by August 1. The same seats will be assigned those who renew their member ships, the league states. On September 17, an office will open to sell the remain ing scats.
