Officers Elected By Prospect PTA Prospect - Mrs. Clarence Hcdgcpcth is the newly elect ed president of Prospect Par ent - Teacher association. Speakers for the last meet ing of the unit were Earl B. Day, former judge of Jackson county, and McLcod Maurice, who talked about the county home rule charter. Chapter To Hold Annual Election Jacksonville - Annual elec tion of officers is scheduled for members of Adarel chap ter, Order of the Eastern Star on Thursday, May 17, in the Jacksonville Masonic temple. The meeting will open with Memorial services at 8 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Craw ford, worthy patron and ma tron, will preside. Initiation ceremonies were held at the last meeting of the chapter for Mr. and Mrs. Chester Irish, Miss Patricia Brcwold, and Mrs. Earl Bre- wold, courtesy candidate. Mrs. Don Edwards, chair man of refreshments for the coming meeting, will be as sisted by Mrs. Gail Buffing ton, Mrs. llulda Thurman, Mrs. George Mcro and Mrs. George Redhead. Art Exhibit Set In Hilt Schools Hilt - The public is invited lo attend the spring art show ing of the Hilt Elementary school set for Friday, May 25 from 7 to 9 p.m., In the school. On exhibit will be paintings and handicraft done by the students as well as a number of oil paintings done by adults. The students' art work will include water colors, and pas tels both In modern and tra ditional styles. It was held at the home of Mrs. William Bagley, with Mrs. Eleanor Powers and Mrs. George Hart ley as co-hostesses.
