D. Curtis, Don Hodges, Fred Ho henleitner, A. Kasken, D. Aik en and W. E. Pouttu. Volunteers in charge were Mary H. Schulz, Helen Lusk, Amber Sutherland and Faye Allison of Roguette Circle. The ladies were in full "Lady Bug" regalia, and expressed delight at the enthusiasm and large attendance of the dom iciliary members. Bob Snow, who says he is from "deep in the heart of Texas," is a comparative new comer to the domiciliary and he is enthused with southern Oregon and the domiciliary way of living. Bob is a pro moter at heart and a show man by inclination. "You can say for me that the food, and the waitresses and our wonderful band of musicians remind me of the Biltmore in LA or the Adol phus hotel in Dallas." He is a veteran flyer and has scars of his disability from a crash in the service as aviation instructor at Olan cha, Calif., during the war. He has been in the selling game most of the time since then and at one time was a scout for Warner Brothers. erans Administration Domi ciliary opened Feb. 20, 1949, in the hospital section of a former World War II Army camp. The domiciliary is au thorized 1,025 beds and in its 13 years has cared for about 12,000 veterans of the Span ish American War, World War I, World War II, the Ko rean Conflict and peace-time service. Veterans are eligible for ad mission if they have a chronic disability, are unable to earn a livelihood, but do not re quire hospitalization or nurs ing care, and had a discharge from a period of war-time service under conditions oth er than dishonorable. If a man is a veteran of peace time service, a service-connected disability is required. CRASH CLAIMS FOUR Palm Springs, Calif. -UIPD-Four Californians were killed late Saturday when a small private plane apparently trying to avoid an in-flight collision crashed and burn ed about a half-mile behind a row of homes near Palm Springs airport. Crash Kills Two; Hurts GP Woman I pickin' Pears Stzur Said Cau Of Traffic Accident A 20-year-old Phoenix youth suffered an epileptic seizure at the wheel of an auto at 11:10 a.m. Saturday and as a result it crashed into a highway divider at the inter section of highway! 99 and 62, Medford police reported. Jerry Reese Hemingway ot box 474, Phoenix, was cited for driving while his opera tor's license was suspended. From Camp White , Castaic, Calif.-OIPl-Two Uni versity of Cincinnati swim ming stars were killed Satur day when their imall foreign made car crossed over the double line and crashed head on into another vehicle on U.S. 99 about three miles north of here, the California highway patrol reported. The victims were identified as James Eric Norman, 20, San Diego, Calif., holder of the national freshman record for the 50-yard free-style; and Jim Marchetti, San Leandro, Calif., captain of the Bearcat swimming team. School officials said the students were on a one-week vacation to their homes in California. The California highway pa trol said they were killed when their southbound car crossed into the northbound lane and was hit head-on by a Cadillac driven by Bessie Mae Bruffett, 39, (3268 Elk lane) Grants Pass, Ore. She was taken to Santa Clarita hospital in Saugus with pos sible internal injuries. Twenty-four girls from Yre ka, Calif., Medford and Grants Pass, members of the Daryl Holt School of Dancing, furn ished a terpsichorean festival at the Easter entertainment provided by White City Post 6412, VFW. recently. The Suzy Q's and their sis ter dancers were Mary Bios otti, Chris Kitto, Carleen De Clerk, Nlcki Evans, Chereen Ferber, Charlene Cordes, Ju lie Haraden, Kita Haraden, Sandy Orr, Barbara Meam ber, Linda Dunham, Donna Scarrow and Karen Dodson. Jacksonville Goody Cookers The Jacksonville Goody Cookers 4-H club held their Mother's Tea Saturday, April 14, at the home of Marta Heffner. Each girl baked something from her project and coffee and punch were aerved. Games were played before refreshments were served.
