delight at the enthusiasm and
large attendance of the dom
iciliary members.
Bob Snow, who says he is
from "deep in the heart of
Texas," is a comparative new
comer to the domiciliary and
he is enthused with southern
Oregon and the domiciliary
way of living. Bob is a pro
moter at heart and a show
man by inclination.
"You can say for me that
the food, and the waitresses
and our wonderful band of
musicians remind me of the
Biltmore in LA or the Adol
phus hotel in Dallas."
He is a veteran flyer and
has scars of his disability
from a crash in the service
as aviation instructor at Olan
cha, Calif., during the war.
He has been in the selling
game most of the time since
then and at one time was a
scout for Warner Brothers.
erans Administration Domi
ciliary opened Feb. 20, 1949,
in the hospital section of a
former World War II Army
camp. The domiciliary is au
thorized 1,025 beds and in its
13 years has cared for about
12,000 veterans of the Span

War I, World War II, the Ko

Veterans are eligible for ad
mission if they have a chronic
disability, are unable to earn
a livelihood, but do not re

from a period of war-time
service under conditions oth
er than dishonorable. If a
man is a veteran of peace
time service, a service-connected
disability is required.
