Goldy, Rogue Valley manor, returned Tueiday from an ex ' tended trip to the Orient, In- dia, North Africa and Europe. The couple left by ship from San Frsnclsco for the Philippinei, and continued to Hong Kong and Bangkok and then to Singapore where they tayed for about two weeki. Later they traveled to India where they itopped in New Delhi and from there they drove by car to Agra and viewed the Ta Mahai. After going 10 Jaipur iney reiurneo to New Delhi. From there the Goldyi flew to Karachi and then to Cairo, Egypt, going to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Return' ing to Cairo they left for Atheni, Greece, making island trips. - Continuing on to Rome, Italy, they ipent a week there, then on to Florence where they visited museums of art. They also stopped at Venice. . At Geneva, Switzerland the travelers visited with Miss Teresa Inglin and her family. Miss Inglin was an exchange student at Med ford High school and while here lived with Mrs. Goldy's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Finch. From Geneva, the couple traveled by car to Paris, France, where they stayed for two dayi before continuing to London, England where they took the Polar flight home. I ,Lrranis rass is Announced Mrs. Lillian Salade, Route 1, Box 18, Central Point, yes terday announced the engage ment and approaching mar riage of her daughter, Mrs. Salade Donker, to Alfred S. V. Carpenter, Topsldes, Old Stage road. The wedding will be held In May at the Salade home with only immediate mem ber! of the families attending. Mrs. Ted Christensen played the piano wedding music. About 100 relative and friends attended. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk organza frock in afternoon length'fashioned on princess lines with bell skirt, three-quarter length sleeves and sweetheart neckline. She wore a pink chiffon frock over nylon net with pink and white accesso ries. Her headdress was a bow which held a short veil and she carried a nosegay bouquet of white carnations and pink baby rosebuds. LeRoy Eggers served as best man and seating the guests were Kenneth Stedman and Dennis Garcelon. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Robinson wore a beige suit with matching accesso ries. Mrs. Harding ' chose a beige and brown sheer print frock over taffeta with beige accessories. Their corsages were white carnations. A reception followed the wedding at the club. Mrs. Leo nard Copinger and Mrs. J. T. Bowling cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. James Koch poured coffee. Mrs. O. T. Turman presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. LeRoy Eggers was in charge of the guest book and Miss Andrea Robinson, sister of the bride, was at the gift table. The couple traveled to Port land via the coast on their wedding trip, the bride wear ing a navy blue silk suit with navy and white accessories. They are making their home at 1304 Spring street. The bride attended Crater High school and is a secretary lo William Deatherage in the law firm of Frohnmayer, Lowry, Hogan and Deathe rage. Mr. Harding is a gradu ate of Grants Pass High school and is a customer engineer for International Business Ma chines Corporation. Prior to the wedding the bride-elect was honored at two showers. One was given by Miss Zemke at the bride's home and the other at the Co pingcr residence, 25 Kenwood avenue, and attended by young women who work in the same office as the honored guest. Lively Rogues Lively Rogues, dance group. has scheduled a dinner and dance for Thursday, April 19. The dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m., and the dancing will be hold from 9 to 11 p.m. Caesar Muzzioli will furnish the music. Host couples are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hoag and Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Taylor. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Alice Freeman, 1446 Thomas road, and the bride, groom is a son of Mrs. Shirley Reed, 519 West Fourth street, Medford. Dr. George G. Roseberry of ficiated at four o'clock after noon ceremony attended by 100 relatives and friends. Baskets of pink and white carnations and white stock decorated the chapel and pink bows marked the pew ends. Mrs. Leslie Boardman was or ganist and accompanied Mrs. Willie Fischer, soloist. The bride wore a floor length gown of white tissue taffeta fashioned with basque bodice, long sleeves and scoop neckline accented with pearls. The full skirt had a shirred pcplum bustle accented with two taffeta roses. Her elbow length flower petal veil of handrolled silk illusion was held by a queen's crown of chantilly lace edged with pearls. Vernon. To Organize Alumnae members of Delta Delta Delta have started plans to organize a group in the valley. Candlelighters were Miss Patricia Sanderson, cousin of the bride, and Miss Marilyn Freeman, sister of the bride. Norman Cutshall, Corvallis, fraternity brother of the bride groom, served as best man. Seating the guests were Roy Woods, Corvallis, another fra ternity brother, and George Holberton, brother - in - law of the bride. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church.. Mrs. Burdet Kind red, Eugene, cut and served the cake and Mrs. William C Sanderson, presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Fred Keene poured coffee. They, are all aunts of the bride. Miss Sheri Keene, cousin of the bride, was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Calla han was at the gift table. The couple left on a wed ding trip, the bride wearing a powder blue tweed wool suit with white accessories. They are making their home at 236 North Oakdale ave nue, apartment 4. The bride is a graduate of Crater High school and is the receptionist for Doctors Law son, Markee and Saul. Mr. Reed is a graduate of Valley, Nebr., High school and Ore gon State university. He is with Associated Equipment and Supply company. Among the guests was Mrs. Mary Ramus, Central Point, grandmother of the bride. Among the out of town guests were Richard Ennes and Mrs. Cutshall, both Cor vallis; Mr. Kindred and Kathy and Kennetn, Eugene, uncle and cousins of the bride, and Mrs. Anthony Almeida, Oakridge. Traditionally this event, considered one of the most elegant social fuctions given in the Rogue valley, has been an every-other-year fall event but this year the league committee has chosen a spring date. The supper will be held at Rogue Valley Country club. A style show is scheduled during dinner, which will be served at 8 o'clock In the Starlight room of the club.
