The barn owl is not adverse to building Its nest in a church steeple, even In the very heart . of a big city, or In a hollow tree in the deep woods. It will exist wherever its favor : ite food of rats and mice is ; present. Of the; 18 kinds of owls' in ttie U.S., the barn owl Is probably the most widely distributed.
