William Bruce Willinmi Williams-Ford Ceremony Held at Christian Church The wedding of Miss Do reen Lucile Ford to William Bruce Williams took place the morning of Saturday, April 8, in Advent Christian church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. : W. Ford, 200 West Jackson street, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Williams, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Rev. Fred O. Sapp Jr. performed the ceremony be fore about fifty guests. Lewis Parker was pianist and Miss Deann Clark, Eugene, sang. Pink and white crab apple blossoms decorated the church. - The bride wore a white brocade sheath dress with ny lon organdy overskirt, which she had made for her wed ding.. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds centered with a small orchid. Mr. Ford gave his daughter in marri age. i ; . Miss-Velma Mayfield, Eu gene, who was maid of honor, wore a pink satin dress with flared skirt. Carl Todd, Lan caster, Calif., was best man and ushers were Barry and Michael Ford, brothers of the bride. , The bride's parents were hosts for a reception which followed at the church. Serv ing cake were Mrs. W. E. Gil more, Dallas, Oregon, aunt of the bride, and Miss Judy Hobbs. Mrs. Ethyl Garrett and Mrs. Marvin Rlcke poured. The newlyweds traveled to Richmond,, Calif., following the reception and will remain In California for three weeks before leaving for Japan; where they will make their home.. The bride attended Medford High school and Southern Oregon college, and is a graduate of the Univer sity of Oregon. Couple Married In Service Held At Ranch Home Central Point - Miss Lotus Jean Hochleutner, San Fran cisco, became the bride of Lou Kai, Blue Chip ranch central Foint, in a ceremony Saturday, April 8, at the Blue Chip ranch home of Mr, and Mrs. William L. Smith. The Rev. D. E. Millard performed the wedding service before a smau numoer oi guests. Mr. and Mrs. Smith at tended' the couple. The bride wore a light beige suit with blue and white accessories and a corsage of pink baby rose buds. Mrs. Smith wore a blue print silk suit with black ac cessories and a pink carnation corsage. A reception followed the ceremony. The newlyweds will make their home to Med ford. . The bride, the daughter of Mrs. J. B. Scarborck, Carlotta, Calif,, has spent most of her life in San Francisco and is a 1954 graduate of University High school, Oakland. She has been employed as a dental assistant In San Francisco. The bridegroom, a native of California, came to the valley from Los Angeles about three years ago. He is employed at Holiday House Inc., trailer manufacturers. . Wl- mer are making their home at 2928 Madrona lane, Medford, following their recent wed ding in Roseiite chapel, Eu gene. Mrs. Wimer is the for mer Lucia G. Snyder, Days Creek, Ore. The ceremony was per formed March 4 by the Rev. Clarence Forsberg of First Methodist church, Eugene. The bride wore a beige sheath dress and a bronze cymbidium orchid. She was attended by her twin sister, Mrs. V. E. Sellers, Eugene, who wore a sheath of blue and beige and a blushrose cymbidium orchid. Mr. Sellers was best man for Mr. Wimer. A reception and wedding dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sellers followed the ceremony. Vickie Sellers took charge of the guest book and Mrs. Richard Snyder assisted with the gifts. Among the wedding guests were Mr. Wi nter brother and sister-in- law, Mr, and Mrs. G. C, Wi mer, Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Wimer made a wedding trip south. In Red lands, Calif., they visited with Mrs. Wimer's son-in-law and daughter, Capt. and Mrs. R. W. Ljicey Jr., and their sons. In El Monte they were guests of Mr.- Wimer's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wimer and daughter. The newlyweds also spent some time in Palm Springs, Reno and Carson City.- Mr. Wimer is an employee of The Callforna- Oregon Power company, until her wedding to Mr. Wimer, the bride was postmaster at Days Creek, having held the' posi tion for 17 years. Family Attends National Session In Los Angeles Mrs. H. P. Bosworth . Jr., Applegate, and her three daughters-in-law spent last week end attending the na tional convention of the American Nutrition society In Los Angeles. Accompanying Mrs. Bosworth were Mrs. Rob ert Bosworth, Medford: Mrs, David Bosworth, Eugene; and Mrs. Harlan Bosworth : IV, Berkeley, Calif. - Robert Bosworth, Medford artist, made the trip with the group as far as San Francisco, and later joined them in Los Angeles. He returned to San Francisco to prepare for a one man private showing of his pointings which has been ar ranged by Charles Warren Callister, San Francisco arch itect. Mr. Callister has invited gallery owners, patrons and others In the art world to view the artist's water colors today. General theme of the con vention was a study of soils and foods, and it emphasized how individuals can make available natural grown, high quality foods through cooper ative programs and other plans. The convention was held at the Huntington-Sher-aton hotel, and an indoor pat io of the hotel was filled with food, soil and other exhibits. About 300 persons from all over the country auenaea. They discussed possible ways in which the society might as sist with the national physical fitness program recently an nounced by President John Kennedy. Among speakers was Charles Coker, track coach at Occidental college, who described the fitness pro gram prescribed for track men at the scnooi.
