The bride is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert S. Carter, 4281 South Pacific highway, Grants Pass, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. The bride's ballerina length gown , was of white Alencon lace over taffeta. The chapel length veil was held by a satin and flower halo. She carried a bouquet of Stephen otls encircling an orchid, and her pearl necklace was an heirloom of the bridegroom's family, Mr. Carter gave his daughter in marriage. ' Mr. and Mrs. William P. To ' Be Cancer Ted Theme A flute, a fiddle, and a cor net many year old will be on exhibit at the Cancer Tea on April 14 at Hlllcrest Orchards; The theme of the tea this year is "Music In the Air," and ex hibits will pertain to music. An Edison gramophone and a collection of ,,old phono graphs will bring back memo ries to the, older guests, and old hymnbooks and sheet mu sic will be on display, also. Several Instruments from for eign countries will be loaned by valley women; among them will be a Japanese koto, a Yu goslavian flute, and a collec tion of miniature Instruments from India. ' . , The Cancer Tea is given each April by the Medford committee for the benefit of the American Cancer Society. A floral arrangements contest will' be held again this year, with valley groups and orga nizations submitting entries. An added attraction will be background music, with local musicians performing. Committee Member Mrs. L. Scott Ellis and Mra, Ivan Harrington are co-chairmen of the. 1861 tea. Other members of the committee are assigned to specific tasks. Mrs. B.
