The Beavers had a total of 90 points. Washington Stale placed second with 53 and Portland State third with 52. Autry Ehler, Portland State, was voted the outstand ing wrestler of the tourna ment for the second year in a row. Ehler, defended his 157 pound title with a decision over Jack Berger, Oregon Stale. Oregon State champions in cluded Fritz Fivian, 187 pounds, Don Conway, 177 pounds, Jerry Perez, 115 pounds; Ron Finlcy, 137 pounds, and Tobe Zweygardt, 147 pounds. It was the third straight for Fivian, Conway and Perez. Gary Stonsland of Oregon won the heavyweight crown. Ducks Beat WSC 76-68 Pullman-flJPII-Orcgon'i bas ketball Ducks broke a six game losing streak by bounc ing Washington Stale 76-68 Saturday night. The win provided the Ducks with a split In their two-game week end series with the Cou gars. They close their regular season this week end against Oregon Stale with two games. The Trojans sewed up the Big Five title and a spot in the NCAA tournament Satur day by trouncing the Indians, 79-61, after beating UCLA in overtime the previous night. This gave "old SC" an 8-2 mark in the league and 19 5 on the season. Nobody can catch 'em now and they face an "at large" opponent in the NCAA regional! at Portland March 15. The race is just about over also, in the West Coast Ath letic conference where Loyola seems destined for a trip to the regionals. The rule change will be in effect for the 1961 PCL sea son.
