(V7 EXCLUSIVELY V JFK's Personal Staff Pledged To Keep Secrets Washington -UPD- All of President and Mrs. Kennedy's personal staff have signed doc uments promising not to sell or tell any details of their relationships with the first family, the White House dis closed today. The ban came out indirectly as reporters questioned press secretary Pierre Salinger about reports that Mrs. Kennedy had at tempted to hire a cook, Bui Van Han, from the French embassy in London. The White House said this report was inaccurate because the Kennedy's found the existing White House staff was excellent. Name Withheld Salinger was asked to iden tify the chef who was held over from the Eisenhower ad ministration. He declined, say ing he understood it was tra ditional not to give out the name of the man so employed. A reporter observed the this anonymity lasted "until a cook or a valet decides to sell his story to a magazine." Salinger quickly interjected that all members of the per sonal staf had signed docu ments since Jan. 20 promising that they won't sell their stories to magazines or other publications." Know of No Parallel Those signing the docu ments included domestic help at the White House, most of whom are government civil service employees, and Mrs. Kennedy's three secretaries. Asked whether the "docu ments" covered telling their stories without being paid, Salinger said, they agreed not to discuss any of their perso nal relationships with the President or Mrs. Kennedy." Veteran reporters knew of no parallel in the past for this documentary agreement, U.S. EXPORTS MORE Washlngton-OIPU-The Com merce department has report ed that the United States ex ported more goods to the So viet bloc last year than at any time since just after World War II.
