At' i 1 x m j ' 'i r yj i f Mr. and Mrs. Dennis W. Owen Lutheran Church Scene Of Owen Bandy-Service - The wedding of Miss Sandra Lee Bandy to Dennis W. Owen took place Friday, February 10, in Ascension Lutheran church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nor man E. Bandy, 312 Ashland avenue, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil W. Owen, 1478 Orchard Home drive. The Rev. E. S. Tollefson performed the ceremony at eight o'clock in the evening before about 100 guests. Light ed tapers and arrangements of pink carnations and while stock decorated the church. The bride wore a floor length gown of brocaded sat in in rose design, styled with a princess front, long sleeves, scoop neckline edged witn tulle insert and overlaid with appliques. Her bouffant skirt was accented below the waist with self bows and a full bustle in back which fell into a chapel train. The fingertip length veil of silk illusion was held by a pearl and se quin tiara. Her flowers were white carnations entwined with ivy and centered with a purple-throated white orchid. Mr. Bandy gave his daugh ter in marriage. Miss Elrod wore a ballerina length dress in heaven blue, with bodice and three-quarter. length sleeves of Alencon lace and a bouffant skirt of silk organza. Her matching flow er bandeau held a float veil, She carried a bouquet of white carnations entwined with ivy. The bridesmaids' hats and gowns were pink, identical to the maid of honors in style, and they carried bouquets of pink and white carnations. The bride's mother chose a dress of beige and brown silk print with beige accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a beige sheath dress with brown accessories. Both wore tangerine carnation corsages. Edward Logan, Central Point, was best man. Ushers were Patrick and James Ban dy, brothers of the bride. Miss Claudia Owen, sister of the bridegroom, was solo ist and Miss Judy Carver played the organ. At the reception which fol lowed in the church, Mrs. Fred Mast cut the wedding cake and Miss Joan Holm strom and Miss Virginia Lar son poured punch. Miss Judy Johnson was at the guest book and Mrs. Mary Anona Jensen took charge of gifts. Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Mast ar ranged the room. Mrs. Tom Merit was in charge of the re ception. Out-of-town guests at the event included Mrs. Pearl Hammond, Fresno, maternal grandmother of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl M. Bene dict, Port Angeles, Wash., the bridegroom's maternal grand parents. The young couple traveled to Portland on their honey moon and are residing at 321 Vancouver avenue. The bride chose a pink chemise suit with orchid corsage for traveling. The bridegroom is a grad uate of Medford High school and is employed at Medford Veneer and Plywood corpor ation. The bride is a senior at Medford High school. Duplicate Club Names Winners Twenty tables in three sec tions participated in the an nual guest night Tuesday of the Medford Duplicate club at the Girls Community club. Mrs. R. J. Conroy and Mrs. W. W. Stevenson were in charge of the St. Valentine's day refreshments. Winners in Section A, north-south position, were Mrs. Andrew W. Foley and Mrs. Paul Hatton, first, 100; Mrs. C. L. Grand Guardian To Visit Medford Area Next Month Mrs. Ralph Nelson, Port land, grand guardian of the International Order of Job's Daughters in Oregon, and L. R. Manning, Medford, as sociate grand guardian, will attend the March 1 meeting of Bethel 14, Medford. Plans for the inspection of the bethel and formal instal lation of new members were discussed at the Wednesday meeting of the bethel. A formal dinner will be held at 6 p.m. March 1 at North's Chuck Wagon in hon or of the guests. Reservations are to be made with the hon ored queen. Miss Barbara Morton, no later than Febru ary 27. Miss Jane Svensen reported on the winter formal held February 11 in the Mark An tony in honor of the honored queen, Miss Morton, and the junior past honored queen, Miss Carla Borough.
