1 r Sterling Hayden Wins Court Case San Francisco -WPD- Actor-1 sailor Sterling Hayden can take his four children to Eu rope, i The California District Court of Appeals Wednesday j refused to issue a writ to pre vent him from traveling to Europe with the youngsters ! for four months. Hayden plans to write and make films dur- j ing the trip.. i Mrs. Betty De Noon Hay den, mother of Christian, 12, Thor, 11, Gretchen, 10, and Matthew, 9, tried to stop the trip. She contended that she had not been notified of a court hearing at which per mission was granted. Hayden defied a court order last year to take the children on a 10-month cruise to Tahiti aboard the yacht Wanderer. He was sentenced to five days in jail and fined $500 after returning, but the sentences were suspended. Hayden said he is $75,000 in debt and hopes to get back in the black with proceeds from his European trip. He is now married to the former Catherine McConnell of New York. The master of ceremonies was Rotary club president, Fred Brennan. The senior list, a list giving the names of all seniors as they desire to have tnem appear on diplomas, was sent in last week. The list had been posted on the main bul letin board for several days to give seniors a chance to make corrections. All students with makeup time against them were re minded before vacation start 1 ed that this time must be cleared before Jan. 12. Semes ter exams begin at that time, and students not cleared are not permitted to take exams until they do so. The Future Homemakers of America Service club is hold ing pickle sales on Mondays and Thursdays. Pickles, sour and sweet, are sold during all three lunch hours arid cost ! 5 cents each.
