She will substitute for Mrs. Hugh Friel who left today for combined business . and pleasure trip to several states in the middle west. Mrs. Friel expects to return here in time for Thanksgiving. Mrs. Newton, Democratic party vice chairman for Jack son county, has divided her time since September between the central committee head quarters and Citizens for Ken' nedy headquarters. The latter location Is at 122 East Eighth st. Democratic Central Com' mittce headquarters is In the Mcdford hotel building. Volunteer workers are cor dially invited to help at either office, according to Padgham and Democratic County Chair man Harper Edwards. The program at both places from now until Nov., 8 will concern irate upon getting out the vote, they said.
