Campbell-Glassford Rites Held in Escondido Church A wedding of interpst in valley residents was held re cently at the Seventh-day Ad ventist church in Escondido when Miss Carolyn Gladys Glassford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Glassford, route 4, box 333, Medford, became the bride of James E. Camp bell, Escondido. Pastor John Green officiat ed at the 9 o'clock evening rites held September 12. Mr. Campbell is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Campbell, Cottonwood, Ariz. His sisters are Mrs. Myron Meehen, for merly of Medford and now of Applegate who teaches in the Grants Pass schools and Mrs. Truman Brown, formerly of Glimpses at Glamour From DOROTHY ELLIOTT I've often thought how lucky the girl under 20 really is. The bride wore a ,white nylon lace over taffeta frock in ballerina length fashioned with, sweetheart neckline. Her veil was fingertip length and she carried a bouquet of gardenias. K. Bailey gave his sister-in-law in marriage. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Jnhn K Cnmn. bell, Escondido. They are the orotner and sister of , the bridegroom and bride, respec tively. Mrs. Campbell wore a pale green silk brocade frock, with a gardenia cor sage. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Escondido home of Mrs. Louis Neuman. The couple traveled to Oceanside on their wedding triD. the bride wearinff fnr traveling a blue linen suit. They are making their home in tscormiclo. Mr. Campbell at tended Laurelwood academy and is a painter in the Escon dido area. Obligation Night To Be Observed Jacksonville - Adarel chap ter, Order of the Eastern Star, will observe obligation night" Thursday, October 20, at 8 p.m. at the Jacksonville Mar sonic temple. Mrs. Irwin Hoffman, Mrs. Donald Edwards, Mrs. Charles Young, Mrs. Roy Picard and Mrs. Louie Applebaker will be in charge of refreshments. ' Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Gard ner, worthy patron and ma tron will preside. Rites Held At Church Wed Couple Mrs. Pauline Hatfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Mullins, IS Mace road, be came the bride of Theodore James Silver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland R. Silver, 743 B street, Ashland, in a cere mony held Saturday, October 8, at the Congregational church in Medford. The Rev. Thomas McCam ant officiated at the double ring rites held at 7 o'clock in the evening. Bronze chrys anthemums decorated the church for the event. Robert L. Scmon played the organ wedding music and accompa nied Carroll L. Graber, solo ist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a dress of champagne and gold satin fashioned on princess lines in ballerina length. Her veil was fingertip length and she car ried a bouquet of wood fiber roses and rosebuds. Mrs. Richard Deckelman, Madera, Calif., attended her sister. She wore a gold vel veteen frock. ' Her flowers were gold and brown wood fiber roses. LaVern Parks, Ashland, served as best man and seat ing the guests were Donald and Harald Silver, Ashland, brothers of the bridegroom. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Mullins wore a beige taffeta brocade dress with brown accessories. Mrs. Sil ver chose a baby blue lace sheath with matching acces sories. Their corsages were white gardenias. Following the ceremony a reception was held in Pil grim House. Mrs. D. L. Dalley and Mrs. Willard Austin Ellis cut and served the wedding cake and Miss Judy Deckel man and Miss Karen Hein poured the coffee and punch. The couple traveled to the coast on their wedding trip and are making their home at 524 Benson street, Medford. For traveling the bride wore J1 r Mr. and Mrs. Theodor J. Silver DAR To Hear Local Lawyer John Dellenback, Medford lawyer, will speak on "For what avail, if Freedom fail?" at the Saturday, October 22, meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the Girls Commu nity club. Mrs. M. M. Mor ris, regent, will preside. Hostesses will be Mrs. C. O. Lovejoy, Mrs. J. C. , Long, Jacksonville; Mrs. A. V. Hardy, Medford, and Mrs. Frank Glonning, White City. a brown and white checked suit. - ' . The bride is a graduate of Dallas, Ore., High school and is a bookkeeper with the Rogue Valley State bank. Mr. Silver attended Ashland High school and is an IBM oper ator for Harry and David Bear Creek orchards. Women Attend Church Meeting Three women of the Dorcas Society of the Ascension Lu theran church attended the constituting convention of the Willamette conference of the American Lutheran church women in Eugene Saturday. Mrs. John Hall, president: Mrs. Elvin S. Tollefson, both of Medford, and Mrs. Jenny Phillips, Ashland, attended, The business included the adoption of a constitution and the election of officers. The Rev. H. Milton Peterson, new president of the Willamette conference, installed the officers. CALIFORNIANS VISIT AT STEVESON HOME Phoenix - Mr. and Mrs. Don Hall, Clear Lake, Calif., are visiting at the home ot H. R. Steveson, Phoenix. Lamp-Hopper Ceremony Held at Episcopal Church Miss Nancie Carole Hopper, 334 North Central avenue, be came the bride of Dean Mor- ley Lamp, 2781 Howard ave nue, in a ceremony held Oc tober 8 at St. Mark's Episco pal church. The Rev. Theo dore J. Ehrllch officiated at the double ring rites held at 7 o'clock In the evening. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Nina M. Huffman, Myr tle Creek, and Gene Hopper, Redding, Calif. Mr. Lamp's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mor ley B. Lamp, Howard avenue. Two large baskets of chry santhemums decorated the church and two bouquets with lighted candles were at the altar. Approximately 55 rela tives and friends attended the ceremony. Mrs. Ernest Con rad played the organ wedding music. The bride wore an let blue satin brocade sheath with white accessories and a shoul der length veil. Her flowers were miniature chrysanthe mums encircling a white or chid. James Conger, Central Point, escorted the bride to the altar and gave her in mar riage. Miss Melba Tucker, Central Point, attended the bride. She wore a French blue wool jer sey frock trimmed with matching satin. She carried white miniature chrysanthe mums tied with French blue satin ribbon. 1 Jerry Shults served as best man, For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Huffman chose a light rose lace two piece dress with matching rose accessories. Mrs. Lamp chose an avocado green two piece taffeta frock with dark accessories. Their corsages were white carnations. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Lamp home. It was attended by 40 relatives and friends. Mrs. Wade Tucker, Central Point, cut and served the wed ding cake and Miss Ray Anne Green, Central Point, presid ed at the punch bowl. Mrs, J. Berry was in charge of the guest book, After the reception the bride changed to a beige two piece suit with white acces sories for traveling. The bride attended Crater High school and is employed as a saleslady for Burelsons-Ready-to-Wear. Mr, Lamp at tended Crater High school and is serving In the United States Navy. He Is currently attend ing radio technician school In San Diego. Mrs. Henry Dooms To Be Cfub Hosfess Rogue Valley Navy Moth ers will meet Tuesday, Octo ber 18, at 10 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Henry Dooms, 158 Van Nesa drive, Ashland, A covered dish luncheon will be served at noon fol lowed by a business meeting Mrs. Dooms, commander, will preside.
