AUGUST 21. 196t Four Appear In Circuit Court For Sentencing Robert Ross Rheinsburg, 445 North Grape St., was sen tenced to the county jail Fri day for one year, by Circuit Judge James M. Main and his probation was revoked for violating It. Rheinsburg had been placed on probation on July 14 in circuit court after he pleaded guilty to charges of threaten ing to commit a felony. He was charged with threatening Noble E. ThrOckmorten, 78, of Applegate. Friday, imposition of sen tence was suspended for three years on LaMarr Archie W1I inson, transient, charged with forgery. Imposition of sentence was granted providing Wilkinson refrain from drinking liquor make full restitution on all checks and in such amounts as determined by his proba tion officer. He pleaded guilty to forg ing a signature on the back of a Pacific Telephone and Tele graph company payroll check for $179.21 on July 9. A Central Point 17-year-old ITALY BLAMES PILOT Rome -IUPD- The Italian Av. iation Ministry has blamed the pilot of a Pan American Boeing 707 'jet airliner for a recent near-collision in which 23 passengers of another air liner were injured. ' He was charged with issu ing a $92 check on Aug. 10 drawn on the Central Point branch of the First National Bank of Oregon. Student body tickets for stu dents in grades 7 and 8 are assessed at $6 and for ninth graders, $9 which includes the book fee of $3. Arrange ments can be made with ei ther the dean of boys or dean of girls regarding student body tickets for students with family financial emergencies. First Football Game As the first senior high school football game is sched uled for Sept. 9 prior to the school opening, junior high school students will need their student body tickets in. order to attend the game at the special reduced price of 25 cents. As previously reported, registration of all new stu dents to Medford High school is scheduled for Aug. 24 to 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with the registering deadline set at Saturday noon. Working students may see counselors Thursday, Aug. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. Students who registered last spring, but who desire program changes must see their coun selor during this period. The registration material' is then forwarded to International Business Machines for auto matic machine processing, which Is done more efficient ly and more economically. Medford Teachers In Need of Housing Medford Public schools are making their annual' request for assistance in securing rent al housing for new teachers to this school district. The need is for apartments and two and three-bedroom houses. There is no apparent need for furnished rooms or room and board situations, it was reported. Anyone that can assist new teachers in becoming established as to housing should call the Med ford school administration of fice, SPring 3-3683. REDS BLAME PRESLEY 1 Berlin -IUPD- The Commu nists have again blamed Elvis Presley and rock 'n'1 roll for juvenile delinquency in East Germany. A Leipzig court jailed seven members of an Elvis Presley club last week for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. But the court said the real criminals were Pres ley and "American barbarism."
