Friday night Peter Spnrr Johnston, 67, Little Butto Star route, Eaulo Point, was treated at Sacred Heart hos pital lor cuts about his noao and was released, state pollco said. The accident occurred on Crater Lake highway nt Four Corners when the Johnston vehicle rolled into a ditch-on the east side of Highway 62. The truck went 261 feet be fore it crossed a four foot ditch and another ISO feet when Johnston fell out. State police lodged John ston in the county Jail on charges of being diunk on a public highway. Minor damages resulted to two cars Involved in an acci dent near Talent about 5 p.m., Friday, state police said. A car driven by Clarence Her bert Young, 27, Pctaluma, Calif., and one driven by Jua nlta A. Dailey, 28, of 135 Wightman St., Ashland, were involved, police said. State police said charges would bo filed against Young In Ash land justice of the peace court charging Improper changing of lanes. Another accident occurred when a logging truck and car collided on the Butte creek bridge about four miles from Lake Creek, state police said. The truck's rear hit the left front fender of tho car driven by Eileen Barbara Ragsdale, Eagle Point, police said. Howard Bake 'n' Stlichtrt The July meeting of the Howard Bake 'n' Stitchers 4-H club was held July 21 at Me- Kee oridge. The 4-H club members had a cook-out with the mothers as guests. Nine members and 11 guests enjoyed a picnic lunch and swam in the after noon. The girls made the lunch and served it to the guests.
