SUNDAY, JULY 31. 1800 Ceremony Held at Catholic Church Sacred Heart Catholic church In Medford was the letting for the wedding of Miss Ann Marie Darland to Walter A. Graff III Saturday July 23. The double-ring cere mony and the nuptial mass which followed were perform ed by the Rev. William Mc- Leod at 11 o clock In the morning In the presence of more than 300 guests The bride is a daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. Dar land, 922 Park avenue, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Graff Jr., 2156 West Hillside drive, both Medford. The bride wore a gown of off-white satin designed with long sleeves, neckline accent ed with seed pearls and full skirt fashioned with train, Her pearl earrings and neck lace were the bridegroom's gift and her bouquet was ot stcphanotis centered with white orchid. She carried an heirloom handkerchief be longing to Mrs. B. L. Hunter. Miss Sharon Ann Mott, Spo kane, was honor attendant for her cousin and the four bridesmaids were the Misses Susan Graff, . sister of the bridegroom, Lynne Parsons, Anne Haviland and Mary Hcnnebeck. The maid of hon or wore a ballerina length full-skirted dress of sheer or chid nylon over taffeta. The fitted bodice was designed with white lace midriff, boat neckline and elbow length sleeves. She wore a matching hat with crown of flowers and float veil, and carried lavender carnations with vat ley lilies. The bridesmaids gowns were identical to that worn by Miss Mott and their match ing hats were of pink. All car ried pink carnation and valley lilies. Barbara Darland, small sis ter of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a lavender organdy frock with matching pony tail hat. Mr. Darland escorted his daughter, and Dr. O. J. Hal both was best man. L. Dupray and Mrs. Harold Evans, aunts of the bride, had decorated the church with white and laven der gladiolus blossoms, and they also supervised the re ception decorations of pink roses and gladiolus. Miss Mary Robinson was organist. About 200 guests attended the garden reception held at the home of the bride's pap ents. Mrs. Andrew Chinchiol- lo, aunt of the bride from Stockton. Calif., and Mrs. O. J. Halboth cut the wedding cake using an antique knife belonging to Mrs. Z.N. Agee. Pouring coffee was Mrs. Louis G. Lemire, aunt of the bride from Baker, Ore., and pour ing punch were Harold Evans, uncle of the bride, Miss Peggy Schnack and Miss Kathleen Corey, cousin of the bride from Cottage Grove, Ore. Mrs. Rodger Sterlon took charge of the guest book, and Miss Kathy Elberts the gift table. Hostesses were Mrs. R. J. Batzer, Mrs. Jack Van Dyck and Mrs. Val Alberts. For the wedding and recep tion, the bride's mother wore a frock of sheer turquoise cot ton with fitted bodice white accessories and corsage of yel low rosebuds. The bride groom's mother was attired in an ice blue sheath dress with matching jacket, white acces sories and corsage of gar denias. Among tlit wedding guests were three grandmothers In the family, Mrs. Lloyd Mur phy, Mrs. Evelina Lemire and Mrs. C. A. Winetrout. Also here was Jim Darland, broth er of (lie bride, who came from. Norfolk, Va., where he Is on duty with the United States Navy. He was to have been in the wedding party but failed to arrive In time (or the rehearsal. Other guests who came from a distance were Mrs. Donald E. Wcstby, aunt of the bride from Arlington, Va., Mrs. W. F. Newbury, Spo kane, Wash.; Mrs. Walter C. Carson, Paradise, Calif.; Mr, and Mrs. Omer Lemire and Mr. and Mrs. George Lemire, all Richmond, Calif.; Andrew Chlnchlollo and family Stockton; Louis G. Lemire and family, Baker; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Corey and fam ily. Cottage Grove, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Dace Maddox, Klam ath Falls, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Sura and family, Tulelake, Calif. A number of parties hon ored the bride and bride groom before the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Graff Jr., were hosts for a hehcarsal dinner at their home Friday, with 18 guests attending. Mrs. Rodger Stcrton and Mrs. C. A. Winetrout were hostesses for a dessert lunch eon and shower which hon ored the bride-elect. Twenty- live guests were invited to the Winetrout home, Country club estates, for the event. Another party which feted the bride was given by Miss Anne Haviland and Miss Lynne Parsons. It was a shower and luncheon at Rogue Valley Country club for 12 guests. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at Lake Tahoe, in California, the bride wearing for traveling a white linen dress with blue accessories and white orchid. They will live at 608 Whitman place. Relatives and friends of the visitors are planning a picnic in their honor. It will be held this evening In Hawthorne park, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cook, Medford arc heading the committee. Dr. Ousterhout Is a research nutritionist for the U. S. Bu reau of Commercial Fisher ies. He and his family are en route to Davis, Calif., where a meeting of poultry scientists is to be held on the campus of the University of California. Dr. Ousterhout will give a paper during the sessions. Family Vacations Ashland - Mr. and Mrs. Philip Gales, 1555 Webster street, Ashland, spent a week's vacation at Lake Shasta recently where they went water skiing, swimming, and boating. Prospect Club To Hold Show Prospect - The third annual flower show sponsored by Prospect Garden club will be held Friday, August 26, at the Prospect community hall. The Baxters observed their 14th wedding anniversary July 20 and were presented an a n n i versa ry cake. Accompanying the cou ple to the valley was their daughter, Linda. Forgeys Return After Stay Here Mr. and Mrs. Albert V. For- gey, Vancouver, Wasn., ar rived In the city Tuesday and were guests of Mrs. Forgcy's sister, Mrs. Karl J. Knutson, and her father, W. R. Bullock, 615 North Columbus avenue. Mr. Forgey Is chaplain for the American Legion in Van couver, and also a deputy sheriff for Clark county, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Forgey came from San Lcandro, Calif., where they visited In the home of Mrs. Forgey'i broth er, the Rev. Ralph D. Bul lock, and with a sister, Mrs. Frank Dt Font, Soledad, Calif.
