Market Recovery Runs Out of Gas Now York - IUPD - The stock market's one day recovery ran out of gas today. . The market wag noticeably lower from the standpoint of the averages. Du Pont top pled more than 4 points, Al lied Chemical more than 2, Wostinghouse a point and United Aircraft more than 1. Rails also were hard hit. Baltimore & Ohio, Atlantic Coast Line, Louisville & Nash ville, Illinois Central and Nickel Plate all dropped a point or more.
