Jansen, a 30-game winner in the PCL in 1946, came on In the fourth inning for Port land and pitched six frames of one-hit relief ball as the Beavers dumped Spokane 7-5. The performance was made even more superb by the fact that it was against the league leading Indians, a solid hitting bunch that had won eight straight going into the con test. - Elsewhere Wednesday night Salt Lake City continued its drive toward the top by edg- Maids Bill Salt Lake Rogue Valley Dairy Maids will oppose one of the top women's Softball clubs in the country on Monday night, July 25, in one of the dia mond highlights of the season at Memorial Stadium, White City. Rival of the Maids will be the Salt Lake City Sham rocks. The Utah learn was the champ of its region last year and this season won two of five games against the barn storming Lind Florists. Salt Lake will come here after a swing through California. Information is still being awaited on personnel of the Shamrocks.
