ISBO 4 C Christina Ann Peterson Is Bride of Dale Smith Central Point - Miss Chris tina Ann Peterson became the bride of Dale Ray Smith In a ceremony at the Robert W. Lowe home, 1128 West Main street, Friday, July 1. Bishop William Davis of the Ashland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiated at the clngle ring rites. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Peterson, 77 Orr drive, Central Point. Mr. Smith's mother is Mrs. Olive M. Smith, Pitt Star routes, box 60, Butte Falls. Mrs. Walter Jensen, Med ford, played the wedding mu sic for the 8:30 o'clock eve ning ceremony attended by 25 relatives and friends. Given In marriage by her father, the bride wore a white lace frock with shoulder length veil and white acces sories. Her flowers were red rosebuds. Miss Edna Roberta Peter eon attended her sister. She wore a yellow polka-dot ny lon frock. Edward H. Trefren served as best man for his brother. Following the ceremony i reception was held at the Lowe home. The bride is a student at Crater High school. Mr. Smith attended Butte Falls High school and is employed by Donna Timber company. They are making their home at 233 Ml Beatty street, Med ford. Californians Visit Relatives Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hot ter, Bellflower, Calif., are visiting with their daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Veilcx, 832 West 13th street, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wade, Grants Pass. The visitors, who lived in Grants Pass for many years, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 30 at an open house at their home in Bellflower. They were mar ried In Seattle in 1910. Mr. Huffier owned a second-hand store in Grants Pass before moving to California. Former Residents Gold Hill Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thompson from Ta coma. Wash, were guests last week of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson. The couple were en route to Yreka, Calif, to spend the July 4th week end as guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Hammersley: All are former residents of Gold Hill. Mrs. Essie Snyder, Portland, was named supreme faith; Mrs. Stanley O. Levack, Port land, Oregon grand royal ma tron, and Mrs. Robert Ostrom, Cannon Beach, were appoint ed members of the delinquent and credential committees. Mrs. Levack along with Ray T. Johnson, Salem, Oregon grand royal patron were nam ed deputy supreme royal ma tron and patron to Finland. Named deputy supreme roy al matrons were Mrs. John G. Dobson, Newport; Mrs. Frank W. Scobert, Eugene; Miss Mar garet Howatson, Mrs. Maude Horton and Mrs. William C. Pritchard, all of Portland. Deputy supreme royal pa trons were J. Jack Kennedy, Medford; Francis K. Henkle, Gresham; W. I if ... ... ; Visitors Leave After Vacation In Hornbrook Hornbrook Visiting last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bear were long time friends, Mr. and Mrs Joe Ribary, Modesto, Calif. They were accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Emma Aim, North Bend, Wash., and his son, Joe Ribary Jr., Kelso, Wash. The son and daughter had been visiting their par ents in Modesto, and all were en route north to visit friends and relatives In the Seattle area. The Bears had not seen Mrs. Aim nor Mr. Ribary Jr. since in the 1920s. Mr. and Mrs. William Paul sen and children, Debbie and Dale, San Pablo, Calif, spent the holiday week end here with Mrs. Paulsen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ardon Burns. They also visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Paulsen, in Central Point, Ore., where his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Paulsen, Ashland also were visiting. 4 Family Dinner Honors Couple Gold Hill - Mr. and Mrs. George Andrews were hon ored at a family dinner July 4 in observance of their 56th wedding anniversary. Hostess for the occasion was their daughter. Miss Marguerita Andrews at her home in Ash land. Others attending the dinner were a son and daugh ter-in-law of the honored cou ple, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Andrews and son, Steven An drews. Gold Hill. McKenna, 104 Florence avenue, in a double-ring nup tial mass at Sacred Heart Catholic church June 18. The Rev. John Ilg read the mass at 10 o'clock in the morning. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Grum bach, Chewelah, Wash., and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McKen na, Gait, 111. White bailee ts of blue daisies and white stock pro vided a setting tor the wed ding. Miss Frances Thrun and John Cookler. Medford, sang hymns and Bruno Pellegrini was at the organ. The bride's father escorted her to the altar. She wore a full-length gown of white lace and tulle over taffeta with a short scalloped over-skirt which tapered in back to the floor. Her short-sleeved lace jacket was designed with a petal collar. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis and pink rosebuds on a white prayer book which had be longed to her grandmother. The bride s fingertip-length veil was held by a white lace crown, which was loaned by her sister, Mrs. Maxwell An derson, Spokane, Wash. Mrs. Anderson served as matron of honor. She wore a white princess sheath dress of white satin with a pale blue flocked nylon organza overskirt and white satin cummerbund. Her bouquet was of white carnations and blue daisies. She wore a blue headband. Laurie Windle, Spokane, who served as flower girl, wore a pale blue dotted Swiss nylon with a white nylon pinafore. She carried a basket of blue daisies. Wayne McKenna, the bride groom's brother, was best man. Keith Lockard and Wil liam Messer were ushers. Mrs. Anna Johnson and Mrs. C. Windle were hostesses at a small reception follow ing the wedding. Mrs. Windle and Mrs. Ray LeFevre, aunt of the bridegroom, served cake and Mrs. Richard Tray lor, cousin of the bridegroom, poured punch. The couple traveled to the southern California coast on their honeymoon and will re side at 108 Florence avenue. The bride attended Holy Names college, Spokane, Wash., and Is a homemaking teacher at McLoughlin Jun ior High school. The bride groom attended Southern Ore gon college and is a sixth grade teacher at Central Point. Meeting Set Mrs. Georgia Hornbeck, Ashland, will be honored at the meeting of the Pythian club, Tuesday, July 12, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Wil liam S. Sweet, 2045 South Stage road. Mrs. J. B. Residents Return From Convocation Mrs. llmol Wood, Mrs, Eva Gere, Mrs, Olga Loo, Cnli tornlii, and Mrs. Don Ander son, Medford, returned home last week end from the De partment of Oregon, United Spanish War Veterans con vention and grand convoca tion of The Grand Swamp of Oregon, Military Order of the Lizards, held in Eugene. After the close of the con vention, they left for the northern part of the state where they visited at the homes of Mrs. Elizabeth Hoff man, Junior past department president, and Mrs. Hazol Hoffman, McMinnville. Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Gore and Mrs. Leo were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson while in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Rcnne Grosh, Ashland and Wlldcrville, en tertained the guests from Cali fornia at their new home In Wlldcrville, Sunday July 3. The Rogue River auxiliary and camp held their annual picnic at the Grosh home. Mrs. Edward Robinson, de partment assistant guard, was honored as Sunday was her birthday.
