Boy Bitten John Laden Uniack, S, Sherman Oaks, Calif., grandson of Mary Mad- elon Laden, 2104 East Jack son st., Medford, was bitten by a dog while playing near his grandmother's residence Wednesday, according to city police. Police said the bite tore the boy's shorts and scratched his upper leg. The owner of the dog was con tacted, and he assured police it would not happen again. FRED STICKLE - Fred Stickle, 81, former resident of Jacksonville, died Wednesday at his home In Seattle, Wash. Funeral serv ices will be held Friday morn ing at Mittlestadt Mortuary In Lake City, near Seattle. Mr. Stickle was married to the former Mary Winning ham, who preceded him in death in October, 1958. BERMUDA GITZEN Mrs. Bermuda Gitzcn, 64, of 1332 East Main St., Med ford, died at her home yester day. She was born June 25, 1896, in Eagle Point, and had lived in this area all her life. She was a member of the Lady Elks and the veterinary auxiliary. Survivors include her hus band, Dr. Giles Gitzen, Med ford; three sons, George, John and William Gitzcn, all of Medford; two sisters, Mrs. William Catey, Medford, and Mrs. E. W. They want to burn it down. Officials of Valley and Sl- letz railroad said Metro-Gold- wyn-Mayer wants to film "The Great Hinkley Fire, which actually occurred in Minneso ta more than half a century ago. They said MGM indicated it would buy the whole town from the railroad. The film company also wants to burn on a mountain nearby .for a forest fire scene, and plunge a locomotive with several cars off a trestle into an 80-foot gorge. Picket, Journal Employee Tangle Portland - (UPI) - An alterca tion between a picket and a Journal employee in front of the newspaper building today resulted in a disorderly con duct charge against the picket, police reported. Police said Die picket, Paul F. Holt, 44, was arrested by Sgt. John Harp after an ex change ot blows with Carl E. Auvil, 24. Police said the altercation occurred after a "squirrel cage" demonstration by pick ets broke up.
