Twenty-eight studies have Indicated that a history of smoking is more common among lung cancer patients than among those without the disease. Three follow-up studies of smokers and non smokers have demonstrated that the death rate from lung cancer among cigarette-smokers is about 10 times as great as among non - smokers." "Cigarette smoking is asso ciated with about 75 per cent of all cases of lung cancer. The incidence of the disease increases with the amount of cigarette smoking." Prostatectomy In a recent study, Drs. C. B. Thrasher and P. M. Beglin, of San Francisco, reported what haprfned to 2,000 men operated on for enlargement of the prostate gland.
