It should become part of the efforts and prayers of every believer to promote the unity for which our Lord prayed In John 17:20, 21. Yet, as important as this unity Is, It should never be attained by compromising with error. Paul in condemning division at Corinth, gave at the same time the formula for unity when he said, that ye all speak the same thing, being joined to gether in the same mind and judgment (See I Cor. 1:10). This will be accomplished when all rely upon the Bible as the only source of authority and recognize that It is both Inclu sive and exclusive. Let every man speak as the oracles of God. If unity could be accom plished through any other me dium, it would not be the unity of the spirit. All division today is brought about by disregard ing the authority of the Bible, thus corrupting God's plan of teaching, worship and work. People seldom lose their reli gion by a blow out; usually It's a slow leak. THE CHURCH of CHRIST 1056 Court Strtel Medfwd, Oregon o o o
