' o ocky's' Chance for Washington-UIPD - At least seven Republican state leaders today discounted New York Gov. Nelson A. Rockefeller's chances of winning the GOP presidential nomination. Turkey Military Junta Builds Case Against Mederes Ankara, Turkey WPD Tur key's ruling military junta built up Its case against for mer Premier Adnan Menderes today with charges that his regime had planned before It was outsed to kill 1,500 mili tary students. Gen. Cemal Gursel, provi sional chief of state, made the charges in an address to his officers earlier this week but they were not made public until Wednesday night. To Break Power r He said Menderes planned to wipe out the cadets in order to break the power of the army. Gursel said it was not just a "rumor" but a concrete plan of which the military junta had evidence. He said former Turkish President Celal Bayar and the former governor of Ankara had dis cussed the proposed carnage. "We threw out the most guilty people in history, Gursel said in reference to the May .28 coup which top pled Menderes. To Fan Trial The former prime minister and his cabinet are under ar rest. They will be tried for violating the constitution, In Istanbul, an estimated 300.000 citizens, students and cadets carrying flags and pla cards proclaiming "we envy our martyrs" staged a demon stration of support for Gur sel's rule. Oregon To Get $301,750 for Fish, Wile Portland - (UPD - The In terior Department said today Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana would receive $1,150,769 of the $12,800,000 apportionment of federal aid funds for state fish and wild life restoration projects. The funds will become available July 1. They repre sent only a part of the total apportionment but the first payment will be made earlier this year than normally to en able states to carry on their federal aid fish and wildlife projects without interruption. The shares include: Oregon, $301,790, including $50,440 for fish projects and Arte, a. A ...tlJIll. Washington, $240,187 in cluding $45,604 for fish and $203,582 for wildlife. Steel 85 Youngstown S Ar T 110 Air Force Bombers To Be Dispersed Washinglon-IUPI) - The Air Force announced today that its B-47 jet bombers will op erate periodically from com mercial airports to disperse the U. S. bomber force more widely and make it a more difficult target for attack. The Air Force described the operation, which will start in a few days, as "periodic dis persal training." It said the aim is to familiarize bomber crews with civilian airports and military bases other than those of the Strategic Air Command. The Air Force refused to say whether the jet bombers would be carrying nuclear weapons when operating at commercial airports. Newhouse Buys Into Denver Post Denver (UPD Samuel Newhouse, owner of 14 daily newspapers, todty bought a minority interest in the Den ver Post, largest daily in the Rocky Mountain West. The sale was made by Mrs. May Bonflls Stanton, elder daughter of the late Frederick G. Bonfils who was founder and co-publisher of the Post until his death in 1933. Mrs. Stanton will retain an interest in the Post. Bliss said he could not fore see Rockefeller getting the Argentina Wants Israel To Return Adolf Eichmann Buenos Aires, Argentina- (UPft-An Argentine demand that Israel return ex-Nazi Adolf Eichmann within one week placed the two nations on the verge of a complete break in diplomatic relations today. Argentina already had re called its ambassador in Is rael and warned it would take the case to the United Nations if the Israelis rejected the ultimatum. Punishment Asked . A sternly worded note handed to Israeli Ambassador Arie Levavi Wednesday night demanded not only that Eich- man be brought back here but that the "Jewish volun teers" who spirited him out of Argentina be punished. The Argentine note was sharply critical of Israel's ex planation of the incident, re jecting particularly its "gra tuitous affirmution that 'nu merous Nazis "live in Argen tina voluntarily with a group of Jewis volunteers" who tracked him down without telling Israel's government. Argentina said Israel in ef fect acknowledged responsi bility for Eichmann's captors by apologizing for their ac tions but made no "offer of reparations which are the in evitable consequence of such recognition of responsi bility." Once Eichmann has been returned to Argentina, the note said, Israel would be free to seek his extradition in ac cordance with the regular procedures of international law. Camp Adair Job Nay Be Resumed Washington - (UPD - S e n Henry M. Jackson (D-Wash.) said today a recommendation of a Senate appropriations subcommittee to resume con struction of Bomarc missile bases at Camp Adair, Ore., and Paine AFB, Wash., was "a great victory for the North west." Work halted on the Bomarc sites at the two Northwest lo cations several weeks ago be cause of a cutback in funds. The Senate group's recom mendation is subject to ap proval of the full appropria tions committee and later by a House - Senate conference committee. Oklahoma GOP Chairman Henry Bellmon commented, "I don't think Rockefeller was ever out of the race." But he also said he didn't think Rockefeller could win the nomination. Edwin Beaman, Indiana Re publican chairman, said his state expressed its choice for the nomination by giving Nix on a heavy vote in the May 3 primary there.
